Description of Artifact This artifact is an assignment that was given

to my CCP10 English class. For this
assignment, students read the story “All
Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury. After the
students read the story, they were asked to
create a visual storyboard displaying the
setting comparison within the story as it takes
place on Venus. They made their storyboard
through the website “Storyboard That” which
is a digital tool where teachers can assign
work and create visuals for classes.

Rationale This artifact fits the standard and the indicator

because using the website shows that I am
allowing students to gain a thorough
comprehension of the content I am trying to
teach them. For example, students had to
demonstrate and show visual symbols that
they identified in the story as well create a
visual representation of the setting (the planet
Venus) and how it is different from Earth.
Using a website like this encourages students
to use and practice their technological skills
when applying the information to a
non-traditional form of work.
