1. Virtual Learning Environment/ e-learning environment
2. Home Learning Environment
B. Psychological Learning Environment
C. Social Learning Environment
D. Appropriate Learning Environment for Young Children.
E. Teacher’s Classroom Management, Routines, and Strategies

Be guided by the task below as you do your physical classroom observation. Then accomplish
the matrix data below.

Guide Question Classroom Observation Report

1. Describe the physical characteristics of the The classrooms that we went to observed was

and the learning environment of the learners. 1 were good, in general it’s well ventilated and
it’s a good example of a good environment except
for the classroom of ABM-11 which is quite hot
and noisy. And there’s also a classroom behind it
and if I were to tell my experience it’s quite hard
to understand the teacher discussing since you
can also hear the other teacher discussing in the
other room. But overall, it’s 8/10.

2. Describe how the learners have learned The 3 classrooms we’ve visited were active when
(knowledge, competency, emotion, it comes to learning, participating in discussions
motivation) in the classroom and learning and activity, recitations and such but except for
environment. the grade 12-STEM, they’re quite different
comparing the 3 sections we went. It’s hard to get
their attention when discussing, and no doubt

they are noisy. But we understand because grade

12-STEM and grade 12-ABM are mixed when they
are having their subject in 21 st LIT. Overall, I’m
sure that they learned a lot.

3. Describe how the Resource Teacher Our resource teacher Dr. Marky Fernandez (sir
encouraged interaction with his/her learners Marky) is very flexible. He got the positive aura

learners to listen to him, despite sometimes

serious when discussing topics but there’s also
the jolly part when he throws jokes. And he uses
collaborative activities! Hands down to him.

4. Describe the characteristics and behaviors Again, all of them are great learners. They have

comes, they are all willing to learn. But
unfortunately grade 12-STEM is very different
from the rest. They hide their phones when
discussing, they shout with no reason, sometimes
they just go out without asking any permission
from the teacher.

knowledge in the “Child and Adolescent Development” and “Facilitating Learning” in giving your
arguments.

1. What physical characteristics of a classroom and home learning environment should be

present? Does learning possible with these physical characteristics? How?

One of the most important things to remember is the environment. As student myself it’s
quite hard to concentrate when the classroom is not pleasing. It’s hard to absorb the
knowledge what the teacher is giving to the learners. A well-ventilated classroom is a must
since they are packed 30+ 40+ 50+ and you provide them 3-5 ceiling fans? I do think that will
make the student focus. I know that we are living in a modern world but I think we need to
use the traditional way of using materials, such as using the blackboards for the students to
share their ideas, not only focusing on powerpoints and bringing out their phones to take a
picture of the presented lesson. They must try to write into their notes, in our observation
90% of the students doesn’t use their notebooks to write their lessons, but instead they use
their phones.

2. How do the classroom and the learning environment, in particular, affect the learning? Does
the communication inside the class affect the learner? Why or why not?

Some of the classrooms were very inviting when learning. As far as I can recall the room of grade 12-
STEM got a very pleasing environment when it comes to learning, since they have their own room
away from the blasting environment. But the 3 other classrooms, both ABM-11 and Grade 10-
Camia’s classroom has a lot of distractions, you can see a lot of other students running in the
hallway, chitchatting too loud, shouting and such. And as I observed it’s distracting specially when
the teacher is discussing. And I’m sure this will affect the learner’s concentration inside the
classroom.

3. Describe how the Resource Teacher encouraged interaction with his/her learners during the
scheduled class. Does the interaction between and among learners affect their learning? How?

Sir Marky our resource teacher used a lot of techniques when teaching. He is clear with his
definitions and intentions when discussing inside the class. And he encourages all students to
participate whether if it’s an activity, recitation, or just reading a simple statement in their lesson.
The way he ensures that everyone’s contribution is audible, when the environment is blasting, he
goes near to his students to discuss and one thing I’ve noticed is that he doesn’t stay in one position
in class, he moves around the classroom strategically in a sense that it doesn’t irritate or annoy the
students. And I think that’s a good way to make your learners listen to you.

4. What are the learners’ characteristics and behaviors that can help and affect the delivery of
instruction?

We all know that there will be always an active student in class and some will not even participate
nor listen. Learners have a desire and readiness to learn. However, there are times when the

Resource Teacher has trouble getting the class to respond. But when a situation like this occurs,
some students join the line and attempt to respond to the query. It is obvious.

5. Are there rules/procedures discussed/set before the start of the class? Did the learners
participate in discussing/setting these rules/procedures? What is the effect of learners’
participation in rule-making on their behaviors?

Before the class begins, the Resource teacher reminds his students to clean and fix the chairs
properly and ask them to put their phones inside their bags, unless they are asked to use it. The
students always participate inside the learning area, when it comes to recitation, they are all active.
When it comes to submitting outputs, they sometimes suggest the deadline they desire. This is
significant, in my opinion, since it shows that students are engaged in the teaching and learning
process and that their ideas and opinions are valued. Because they would have more freedom to
express themselves, their behavior and personalities would improve. Of course, the teacher would
still provide them with the necessary direction.

1. What kind of physical classroom and learning environment is conducive to learning? As a future
teacher, what will you do to have a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment for your
learners?

I suggest indulging them into a positive environment in that way it’s sure to have successful learning.
As a future teacher, I will make sure that my learners have access to the proper materials that will
assist their learning in order for them to digest more of what they are learning. In order to have a
safe, secure, and supportive learning environment, I must use different strategies to get their
attention when inside the learning environment.
