- Unquestionably, remote urban areas are an ideal place to support a person’s health both mentally
and physically

+ Because of peaceful and picturesque natural settings, residents are rid of stress,
depression and anxiety when they encounter obstacles in life.

+ Urban area has spacious space for planting trees or flowers to filter exhaust gases from
public and individual vehicles, factories and enterprises.

- On the other hand, I believe that urban area settlement is a more optimal option with a lot of
benefits that it has to offer.

CHỦ ĐỀ 2: TECHNOLOGY TODAY AND TOMORROW: 3D PRINTING

3D printing, which is also known as additive manufacturing, is a process that creates a three-
dimensional object layer by layer using a computer-generated design.
To 3D print an object, you need to first create a virtual model using specialized software. The model
is then sliced into horizontal layer, and then the material is printed through a process called material
extrusion. The extrusion nozzle moves precisely, following the blueprint of the digital model.

3D printing can be used to create almost anything you can imagine.

+ You can make everything from toys, phone cases, tools, clothing, tables, lamps, pottery, and art to
cars.

+ The medical field is also finding new ways to use 3D printing to help patients. For example, 3D-
printed models are being used to create less expensive, more durable, and better-fitting prosthetics
for individuals who have lost limbs.

The 3D printing industry is rapidly growing and has exciting potential for the future. With new
designs to print, we may soon be able to 3D print our lunch, custom-fitted clothes, or replacement
parts from home.

CHỦ ĐỀ 4: A THIRSTY WORLD: WATER SCARCITY IN AFRICA.

Water Scarcity in Africa: Causes, Effects, and Solutions | Earth.Org

The problem of water scarcity in Africa is not only a pressing one but it is also getting worse day by
day. According to WHO, water scarcity affects 1 in 3 people in the African Region and the situation is
deteriorating because of factors such as population growth and urbanisation but also climate change.

-The booming population will inevitably lead to more food demand, a faster rate of urbanisation and
a rise in industrial activities, all of which require abundant water supply.

-Climate change and global warming – mainly caused by an increase in human and commercial
activities – equally contribute to water scarcity in Africa. Those things will prolong the drought period
in African countries, especially since this is a continent with an equator passing through, making this
continent a place with high temperatures all year round, leaving people in Africa without water for
many months for daily life and production.

Water scarcity is expected to worsen in Africa, which is likely to have severe impacts on the
agriculture sector. This sector accounts for almost 14% of the Sub-Saharan Africa. Agriculture is
highly dependent on water and is already facing challenges due to water scarcity. If the situation
deteriorates, it could lead to food shortages and even famine. Water scarcity also poses a significant
threat to human health.

There are some practicable measures for this problem. First, local communities are taking adaptation
action. Many opt for drought-tolerant crops instead of crops that require large amounts of water, a
strategy to mitigate both water scarcity and food insecurity. Secondly, Cultivate informed and
engaged water citizens. Finally, contribute funds for clean water initiatives in arid areas and areas
with water shortages

CHỦ ĐỀ 7: INSIDE THE BRAIN

Antisocial Personality Disorder – United Brain Association

Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) is a mental condition where a person shows little or no regard
for others. Such individuals are more likely to violate the law and act in ways that can harm others
physically and emotionally. They lack empathy and often try to manipulate others to achieve their
goals. Also, they tend to deny responsibility for their actions and the outcomes that follow. The exact
cause of A5SPD has not yet been discovered. However, some factors that appear to put an individual
at higher risk of developing ASPD include family history and genetics or childhood experiences.

Studies have identified structural differences in the brains of individuals with Antisocial Personality
Disorder (ASPD). In the frontal cortex, two decision-making areas function differently: hot (emotion-
based) and cold (reason-based). In healthy brains, these areas develop in parallel, but in people with
ASPD, the hot decision-making area stops developing during puberty, leading to a more dominant
and rational cold decision-making area. This inability to feel emotions makes forming relationships
difficult for people with ASPD.

Currently, the most effective way to treat ASPD is to use inhibitor drugs, but this type of drug is not
the best treatment even though today's medical science is developing rapidly. Therefore, I hope that
in the future there will be better methods to help people with this cruel mental illness as well as help
society reduce the increased crime rate committed by people with ASPD.
