Causes and effects of global warming? Solutions
+ cause
Global warming is increasing every year because of the continuous emission of greenhouse gases. They
trap heat from various sources like the sun, electricity, burning fossil fuels, and stop them from escaping
back into the atmosphere. The collection of the greenhouses gases leads to the increase or rise in the
temperature on earth. Another cause of global warming is deforestation. It is causing the depletion of
the plants, and it exposes the soil to direct sunlight. One of the best sources that absorb carbon dioxide
is trees. However, due to the cutting of trees all around the planet, this source is depleting.
+ Effect
A significant effect of global warming is the damage it does to the seasonal crops and marine food.
Marine life is facing the consequences of the changes in the climate as the sea is heating up. The
weather changes are drastic due to global warming. Summers are longer, and winters have shortened
due to global warming. Global warming has serious consequences. It leads to heat-related illnesses and
death, and spread of infectious diseases. It also results in melting of polar ice caps and rising of sea
levels. Extreme weather patterns such as severe storms, heat waves, flood and droughts are obvious
consequences of global warming. Moreover, global warming might cause the widespread extinction of
species.
+ Solutions
Global waming is seriously affecting our life on Earth in many ways, so everyone of us should do
something to reduce it.There are many solutions like planting of trees, use of non-conventional fuel and
solar energy, which can significantly help to reduce global warming. Planting trees will improve the level
of oxygen and will cause decrease in harmful gases as trees intake carbon dioxide as a major component
in their food. Non-conventional fuel like liquid hydrogen can be used to reduce pollution from heavy
industries and transportation. Finally, solar energy has developed as a major source in generating
electricity this can be used in many other domains to reduce the impact of air pollution.

City in the future
First of all, one significant change will be the need for more places such as parks, people centers and
entertainment areas. The reason for having these places is people will have to work harder and longer
hours and therefore they would need more leisure to chill out and relax. Another change will be high-
rise buildings for offices and places, as there will be more people moving to the city. This change will
increase the cost of land, so it will be cheaper to build upwards rather than sideways. Also, as more
people live in the city, there will be a greater need to have better transportation so apartments can
move around the city quickly. This transport will include a subway system, high-speed trains and a tram
transportation. Moreover, city dwellers will have a better life thanks to important achievements in
technology and medicine. Modern machines and well-equipped hospitals in cities will provide better,
quicker and more effective treatment for people. How about environmental problems? Optimists also
think that scientists will find ways to cut down the cost of renewable energy sources and make them
available to everybody. They hope that these energy sources will step by step replace fossil fuels such as
gas, coal and oil in the next twenty years. Then city dwellers will live in a cleaner and healthier
environment.

There are very different opinions about the cities of the future that our cities will become more and
more polluted, so they will no longer be safe and healthy places to live in. Pessimists point out that both
global warming and pollution have increased rapidly over the past twenty years, but governments have
no effective ways to control them. There are no signs that this problem will be solved in the future. In
addition, more and more people are leaving the countryside and moving to big cities to look for work. As
a result, cities will become overcrowded. This means there will be more people, more waste and heavier
traffic. All these factors will lead to more pollution.
