THE EFFECTS OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY TO JUNIOR HIGHSCHOOL

STUDENTS IN FDNHS

BACKGROUND:

Teenage Pregnancy is when a women under 20 years old gets pregnant. Usually
refers to teens between the ages of 15-19.But it can include girls as young as 10 years old. It is
also called teen pregnancy or adolescent pregnancy. It is common not only in the Philippines
but also around the world. Many students are experiencing this kind of issue. And it affects
their daily school life.

Pregnant teens are at risk of not getting the right prenatal care, especially if they
don't have support from their parents. Prenatal care is critical, especially in the first months of
pregnancy. Pregnancy teens have a higher risk of getting high blood pressure called pregnancy-
induced hypertension. This dangerous medical condition that combines high blood pressure
with excess protein in the urine, swelling of a mother's hands and face, and organ damage.
These medical risk affect the pregnant teen, who may need to take medication to control the
symptoms. But they can also. disrupt the unborn baby's growth. And they can lead to further
pregnancy complications such as premature birth.

We chose this title so that students will be aware of the consequences of.
teenage pregnancy. They should know how to avoid this kind of issue. They should also know
wha to do when. they encounter this issue. Many students are forced to drop out so that they
can take care of their health and the baby. Others are also force to abort the child. This issue
should be stop. And all should always huave knowledge about this.
