Dear student,

CAT ’17 is over and T.I.M.E. Mumbai is pretty sure every one of you would be interested in knowing
where you stand. Please use the “My CAT performance” tool in your SHP to get a fair idea about
your performance. This will assist you in working out which B-school to target.

We are positive that, in addition to CAT, there are other entrance exams you are planning to write
as CAT is not the only exam for getting admission to the top B–schools in India. As such, it is always
better to diversify your stakes and target maximum number of colleges by appearing for these
exams. Fortunately, your preparation for CAT will help you a lot in these exams too.

Some of the popular MBA entrance tests are as follows:

 XAT
 IIFT
 NMAT
 SNAP
 CMAT
 MICAT

Let’s label them as Other Management Entrance Tests (OMETs) for the sake of brevity.

We have scheduled All India Mock Tests for these OMETs. The schedule of these is available on
your Student Homepage. Most of them are Online Mocks. Do note that a few offline mocks are also
available for IIFT/MAT. Please collect them from your respective centres, if you haven’t done so
already.

There are a sufficient number of practice handouts for these OMETs, which you’ll find the 3 rd lot of
the CAT 2017 material. These are currently available at your respective centres. Kindly collect them
and start going through them. Since G.K. is an area many of you need help with, we have included
GAT handouts as well. These handouts will go a long way in helping you prepare for the G.K. section
included in some of the OMETs you will be taking.

The following is the list of GAT handouts that we have included in the 3 rd lot:

GAT1021801 - General Awareness Test (IRMA)

GAT1021802 - General Awareness Test (IRMA)
GAT1021803 - General Awareness Test (Economics for IIFT and other tests)
GAT1021804 - General Awareness Test (SNAP, XAT, MAT, CMAT, TISS)

GAT1021806 - General Awareness Test (IIFT)
GAT1021807 - General Awareness Test (SNAP, XAT, MAT, CMAT, TISS)
GAT1021808 - General Awareness Test (SNAP, XAT, MAT, CMAT, TISS)
GAT1021809 - General Awareness Test (MICA)

In addition to this, there are G.K. modules on your SHP for SNAP and XAT. We also sincerely request
you to peruse the T.I.M.E. monthly magazines from Jan 2017- Sep 2017 (in particular, the June-July
combination). The handouts & the modules will aid you immensely in preparing for the G.K. related
questions asked in some of the OMETs.
The schedule of the Upcoming Invigilated Mocks is as follows:

Special Note for IIFT aspirants: For preparation on General Awareness, in addition to reading
newspapers regularly, it would be advisable for you to focus on features like Business G.K., Current
Issues & Events, and the Current Event Chronicle (this feature captures important tidbits) from our
monthly magazines. In addition to the above, do look at the G.K. Model Papers feature titled
“Improve your GK”. And do not miss the GA Note (Study Material) booklet for stock GK (like history
and geography). The GAT handouts, referenced earlier in the mail, should also be tackled by you.

We have scheduled tailor-made classroom sessions to provide you with extra guidance for the
