Subject: Proposal to conduct a 2 day workshop on Human Robot Interaction at your College.

Robofission Labs Pvt Ltd is a company located in Bangalore that works on niche concepts and
technologies like Human Computer Interaction, Human Robot Interaction, Augmented Reality,
Android and Social Robotics. The vision of the company is to provide Science and Engineering
students a first hand feel of cutting edge technology and its applications and to motivate them to
do out of the box research and product development.

Human Robot Interaction is a 2 day workshop which introduces students to digital image
processing, digital signal processing and robotics. During the workshop students will be building
amazing robots which can be controlled by speech, controlled by one’s hand movements and
controlled by showing it letters written on a piece of paper etc. The workshop will provide a
solid base for those interested in working on machine vision, natural language processing and
robotics in their future towards an academic project or towards a research publication.

The proposed workshop will be conducted for 14 hours [4 sessions of 3.5 hours each], document
containing the session plans are in the following pages. They should provide a clear
understanding of the program outline. Incase you need any additional information at any point of

Our requirements for the workshop:

1. LCD projector and Microphone PA system.
2. One desktop for every 3-4 participants.
3. Matlab Software on every Windows XP system.
4. Permission to install softwares on the systems allotted for the workshop.
5. Instead of (2),(3) & (4) participants can bring their own laptop with matlab

Other details of the Workshop:

1. The workshop will be conducted in your college campus.
2. Post workshop training material will be given to all participants.
3. Workshop certificate will be issued upon the completion of the workshop.
4. For every 4 participants there will be a Human Robot Interaction kit given for the
workshop.
5. The Human Robot Interaction kit is a take away for every 4 participants.
6. Additional HRI kits can be procured by providing Rs 3,000/- after the workshop.
7. The workshop is open to students from all branches and there are no pre-requisites for
attending the workshop.

4) 1 camera
5) 1 H-bridge

7) 1 screw driver
8) A-B usb cable
9) Screws and nuts
10) Connecting wires

Workshop fee: Rs 4500/- per team of 4 with take away kit
