because of its shape. It just slides on the
post behind your ear lobe.”

E. Discussing new “Do you want to learn how to make “Yes ma’am”
concepts and practicing earrings class?”
new skills #2
“So now, let’s discuss the procedure in
making hanging earrings”

“What are those materials needed in “We need to bring chain nose
making this earrings class?” pliers, beading wire cutter,
needle nose pliers, head pins,
earring hooks, jumps rings,
beads.”
“Yes correct, and after preparing the
materials, we can now start making our
hanging earring.”

PROCEDURE:

1. “Select your beads and gather the

earring hooks, head pins, needle nose,
chain nose pliers. These tools and material
are all essential.”

https://www.scribd.com/document/
469074129/LM-Handicraft-G10-pdf

2. “Arrange the beads the way you would

like them, placing the bead you would like
at the bottom on first and so on.”

https://www.scribd.com/document/
469074129/LM-Handicraft-G10-pdf

3. “With your pliers, bend the excess head

pin over 90 degrees on both earrings.”

https://www.scribd.com/document/
469074129/LM-Handicraft-G10-pdf

4. “With the steel cutting plier, cut off the

pin until it is only 1 cm long. Alternatively,
attempt the “Jump Ring” Technique below:

https://www.scribd.com/document/
469074129/LM-Handicraft-G10-pdf

“How many techniques do we have class?”

“Yes, and the first is you just need to follow

1 to 3 as above, but skip step 4 by not
cutting the pin yet. Understood?”

2. “Bend the head pin all the way around,

then wrap it several times around the pin
where it just comes out of the bead. Cut
excess and tuck the end in so that the it
does not stick out. This creates a closed
secure a loop.”

3. “Open a “jump ring” (basically a circle of

wire that’s not entirely closed) and slide on
the head pin with beads and the earring
hook. Close the jump ring securely.”

4.” When opening a jump ring, do not pull

the ends apart directly away from each
other (such that they are still in the same
plane); this weakens the ring. Instead, slide
one end past the other (perpendicular to
the plane of the ring) to open, and slide
back in the same manner to close.”

5. “Get your earring hook and with the

chain nose pliers, bend the head pin
around in a circle.

https://www.scribd.com/document/
469074129/LM-Handicraft-G10-pdf

6. “Slide the hook unto the half-bent pin

and then bend the pin all the way around
so there is no way the hook can slip off and
earning fall apart.”

“Congratulations! You have crafted your

first handmade earrings!

F. Developing mastery Let’s have an activity class.

Directions:
Please group yourself into two
groups.

Group 1 will identify the names of the

pictures provided and is going to paste it in
the black board.

Group 2 you will be task to choose the

definition of the pictures provided and paste
it also in the black board.

This will be done 5 minutes only.

“Is that clear class?” “Yes ma’am.”

G. Finding Practical “In our real-life class, for instance we are “Yes ma’am”
applications of concepts wearing stud earrings then we didn’t notice
and skills that our earring lost already. Have you
experience instead of buying new one, you
just make a DIY earring back?”

“If yes, what did you substitute?” “Peace of slipper ma’am, or

any types of rubber
materials.”
H. Making generalizations
and abstractions about the ▪The teacher generalizes the topic by
lesson asking questions:

“Okay class what are the three types of “Those are stud earrings
earrings?” hoop earrings, and drop
earrings ma’am.”

“Very good. What are the differences of the “Stud earrings usually our
three?” starter earrings when we get
our first fierce. However, the
hoop earring is what we
commonly seen from our
grandmothers and mother.
And the last is Drop earrings
doesn’t need to have a
backing and its hanging or
dangle off the ear.”
