B. Establishing a purpose “What kind of items did you calculate?” “The materials that we
for the lesson needed such as beads and
glue ma’am”.

“What specific formula is being applied in “The formula is to multiply the

calculating the accessories?” quantity to the unit cost. And
add the total amount to come
up with the grand total”.

“Okay correct very good class, all of your

answers are correct.”

class?” that we can make as our
accessories. we can make
bracelet, necklace, earrings
from beads.”
D. Discussing new “COMPLETE BEAD WIRES”
concepts and practicing
new skills #1 1. “Cut a length of wire approximately 1 in
(25cm) longer in length than the beads to
be threaded.”

round-nose pliers, and carefully bend the
wire to create a loop.”

“Let’s move on to KNOTTING BETWEEN
THE BEADS, what is your own “To make sure the knot is
understanding about it, class?” close to your beads, put a
needle out when the knot
back towards the beads with
the needles, and gently pull
the needle out when the knot
is sitting next to the beads.”
1. “To knot between beads, you need to
allow approximately twice as much thread
as the length of your finished necklace.

fbid=104223008561731&set=pb.10006924
8567098.-2207520000

2. “The needle of course, is dependent on

the size of your beads and the number of
knots, and you should allow even more
thread if you are going to have a lot of
knots, as it is easier to cut off the excess
than to have to re knot due to lack of
thread.”

“COILING A HOOK AND LOOP

coil, used the flat nosed fliers to bend the
very last coil, used the flat-nosed pliers to
bend the very last coil, in half at 90
degrees, again making sure the end of the

and how much space you left, so that you

F. Developing mastery ▪Please group yourself into four (4)

groups.

“Group 1 will execute the completed bead

wires.”
Group 2 will execute the wiring a
doughnut.”

“Group 3 will execute the making a hook.”

And the group 4 will execute coiling a hook

and loop fastening.” “Yes ma’am.”

“Did you get it class?”

G. Finding Practical
applications of concepts “If we don’t have a doughnut, what shall we “We can use wire or anything
and skills do?”
that can be make as our
doughnut, we need to roll it
circular with a hole at the
center.”
H. Making generalizations
and abstractions about the ▪The teacher generalizes the topic by
lesson asking questions:

“Okay class what are those techniques, “Those are wiring, complete
methods in making fashion accessories bead wires, wiring a
products?” doughnut, knotting between
the beads, making a hook,
double knotting of the beads,
“Very good. How about the three forms of beading, braiding the end,
packaging, what are those?” coiling a hook and loop
fastening, twisting a wire,
attaching a fastener.”
I. Evaluating Learning Direction:

Arrange the following procedures

and techniques in making fashion
accessory products based on their
sequence. Write a letter from A to G for
your answer on the space provided.

____1. “Using the flat-nose pliers, bend the

excess wire at 90 degrees.”

____2. “Cut a length of wire approximately

12 in.(30cm) in length. Using a pair of
round nose pliers, coil the wire, starting
from the bottom of the pliers, and work
upward.”

____3. “Using the tips f the round-nose

pliers, bend the wire back on itself, forming
a hook.”

_____4. “With the round nose pliers, bend

the wire over, forming a loop.”

____5. “At the opposite and wider end of

the coil, used the flat nosed fliers to bend
the very last coil, used the flat-nosed pliers
to bend the very last coil, in half at 90
degrees, again making sure the end of the
wire is tucked into the coil itself. This forms
the mechanism by which the fastener is
connected to the necklace.”

____6. “When the wire is satisfactory bent,

cut off the excess wire with a pair of wire
snips, and tuck the end discreetly into the
coil.”
____7. “Take the flat-nose pliers, and
carefully manipulate the bent wire so that it
