of design”

The first is BALANCE – It has two types;

symmetrical and asymmetrical.

The second principle is the EMPHASIS

more interesting than any other. This is the
emphasis of the center of interest

by a designer, one feature of the ensemble

The last principle is the COLOR…

The first thing you will notice about
clothes is their color. These are categorized
into three: primary, secondary and tertiary
or intermediate colors.

thousands and thousands of colors in the
world, they are all made up of these colors.

Primary colors are the sources of all

yellow.

That’s right…now we will make secondary
colors out of primary colors. Paul said a
while ago that if we mix yellow and blue
we will have green color, who will try,

These are produced when mixing two
equal amount of primary colors. If you mix
equal amount of yellow and blue you will
have green, equal parts of red and blue will
have violet, and red and yellow you will
have orange.

that each principle has a specific role in
creating an aesthetically pleasing garment
or ensemble.
These are produced by mixing two equal
amounts of primary and secondary colors.

color) and green (secondary color) you will
