Demo 1: Gather Information using Advanced Google Hacking Techniques.


● Launch the virtual machine running Windows Server 2019.

● Next, launch a web browser of your choice.


● Here we will be using Google Chrome.

● Now type “intitle:login site:eccouncil.org” and press Enter. This search command uses intitle and site
Google advanced operators, which restrict results to pages on the eccouncil.org website that contain the
login pages. An example is shown in the screenshot below.

● Now, click back icon present on the top-left corner of the browser window to navigate back to
https://www.google.com.

● In the search bar, type the command: “EC-Council filetype:pdf” and press Enter to search your results
based on the file extension.

● Now, click on any link from the results (here, first link) to view the pdf file.

● Now use command : “cache:www.eccouncil.org” and press enter.

● This operator allows you to view cached version of the web page. [cache:www.eccouncil.org]-Query
returns the cached version of the website www.eccouncil.org

● Now use command : “allinurl: EC-Council career”- Query returns only pages containing the words “EC-
Council” and “career” in the URL

● Use command: “inurl: cyber site: www.eccouncil.org”

● Query returns only pages in EC-Council site in which the URL has the word “cyber”
● Using Command: “allintitle detect malware”

● Query returns only pages containing the words “detect” and “malware” in the title.
● Using command : “Antivirus inanchor:Norton”

● Query returns only pages with anchor text on links to the pages containing the word “Norton” and the
page containing the word “Anti-virus”.
● Use command : “allinanchor: best cloud service provider”

● Query returns only pages in which the anchor text on links to the pages contain the words “best,” “cloud,”
“service,” and “provider”
● Use command : “link :www.eccouncil.org”

● Finds pages that point to EC-Council’s home page.
● Use command : “related:www.eccouncil.org”

● Query provides the Google search engine results page with websites similar to eccouncil.org.
● Use command : “info:eccouncil.org”

● Query provides information about the www.eccouncil.org home page.
● Use command : “location : EC-Council”

● Query give you results based around the term EC-Council.

Demo 2: Perform Whois Lookup using DomainTools

● First open the windows server 2019 virtual machine. Login to the windows server 2019 with Username:
Administrator and Password: Pa$$w0rd.

● Open any web browser (here, Mozilla Firefox). In the address bar of the browser place your mouse cursor,
type : “http://whois.domaintools.com” and press Enter. The Whois Lookup website appears, as shown in
the screenshot.

● Now, in the Enter a domain or IP address... search bar, type www.certifiedhacker.com and click Search.

● This search result reveals the details associated with the URL entered, www.certifiedhacker.com, which
includes organizational details such as registration details, name servers, IP address, location, etc., as
shown in the screenshots.

Demo 3: Archive.org

How can one utilize archive.org:


● Launch a virtual machine running Windows Server 2019.
● Launch a web browser, specifically Mozilla Firefox, for our purposes.
● Search link: https://archive.org/
● Subsequently, the archive.org webpage will display, mirroring the appearance depicted in the screenshot.

● Now in search type: https://www.microsoft.com

● Now click on “Go”.
● Following that, the Archive will exhibit archived versions of microsoft.com, akin to what is illustrated in the
screenshot.

● At this point, you have the option to select any dates from the calendar and view the website's image from
that specific time. For instance, we will access the screenshot from "March 1, 2019."

● Alternatively, clicking on the "Site Map" tab allows us to explore the site map of "microsoft.com."

● Presently, by selecting the "URLs" tab, we can access captured URLs for further exploration.
