Updated Appeal Letter
Updated Appeal Letter
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Tewodros Estifanos Ayele, an Ethiopian passport holder with the number EP6842328. I
was born on October 5, 1997, in Gonder. I am writing to appeal the rejection of my application
for a national student visa for the purpose of pursuing a master’s program in civil engineering at
Bialystok University of Technology. I received the rejection letter on July 11, 2023, which
mentioned concerns over the reliability of the statements I made regarding the purpose of
my stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
I respectfully request that you reconsider this decision, as I have provided ample evidence and
information to prove that my intention of staying is sincere and aligned with my application. My
only goal is to pursue academic excellence in Poland and obtain a quality education that is not
available in Ethiopia. I assure you that any doubts or concerns about my credibility are
unfounded. I am fully committed to upholding the laws and regulations of Poland as I immerse
myself in academic and cultural pursuits. I have no intentions of engaging in any activities that
could compromise Polish laws or deviate from my declared purpose of stay.
I have always had a strong passion for construction and design, which led me to earn a BSc
degree in civil engineering. Now, I am determined to further enhance my knowledge and skills in
this field by pursuing a master’s degree at Bialystok University of Technology. I have worked
diligently to gather all the necessary documents and fulfill the prerequisites set by the university,
including an online interview with a representative from the university. During this interview, I
proved my English proficiency and conveyed my sincere dedication to the field of civil
engineering. These accomplishments reflect my earnest commitment to my studies and future
career.
Moreover, I have strong ties to my home country, Ethiopia, where I have my own assets, such as
land property and a car, which require my attention and management. These valuable
possessions were generously given to me by my supportive father, who encourages my
educational pursuits and eagerly anticipates my return to our home country after completing my
studies.
Furthermore, I have a well-defined vision for my future career in Ethiopia, where I aim to
actively contribute to its infrastructural development, especially in the area where I grew up. I
have personally witnessed and experienced the daily challenges faced by the community, which
has fueled my ambition to establish a family construction company alongside my siblings. Both
of them hold bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering, and together, our ultimate objective is to
address the infrastructural deficiencies in Ethiopia. As a result, I have a strong desire to go back,
and there is no reason for me to prolong my stay elsewhere.
I have a dream to fulfill and I respectfully ask you to reconsider the decision and grant me the
opportunity to pursue my aspirations. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am available
for any further inquiries if needed. I look forward to a positive response regarding my
application.
Yours sincerely:
