Make a reflection paper about this laws and mandates in GENERAL guided by the following
questions;
1. upon reading and reflecting on the law and mandates, what can you say about the rights
and privileges of both public and private school teachers in Philippines?

Upon reading the law and mandates of public and private teachers, I as an educator
believes that the government properly supporting and looking into the welfare of all teachers.
They are given the best service and privileges by the government for teaching is one of the most
important professions in the Philippines. It is good to know that such a law like couples who are
both teachers can be assigned in one location. This only shows how the government shows its
compassion and welfare of the teachers and their family.

2. How can the knowledge of these laws help you as a future educator/teacher?

Being a teacher, we need to be aware of the rules, mandates, and laws that we have. This
will enable us to voice out and speak up if we are discriminated in any ways. By knowing these
laws, teachers will be aware on what he/she must do and what not. Teachers will also understand
his/her privileges. The teachers will also know the proper compensation that she/he gets.
Teaching is not an easy job, so having these benefits help teachers to be more motivated and
inspired in doing their tasks efficiently.

3. Given the opportunity to add/revise/or modify the laws mentioned here, what is/are
would you want to add/revise/modify? state your reason/s for such.

The number of teaching hours is I want to be revised or modified. We all know that
teachers have the most hectic schedule in teaching. Some teachers go home late at night
because of many paper works to be submitted. I would like to suggest cutting the 6-hour
teaching load to 4 per day to give enough time for teachers to comply all the documents
needed for submission.
