Line 3: Dance and music have been an integral
part of human life particularly for children in their
growing and studying phase. The two art forms,
music and dance, together seem to create an
emotional quotient, always complementing each
other.

Line 1: Now, I will discuss the 7 Elements of
Music. These are the fundamental building
blocks in which all music is made up of.

Line 1: These seven elements are, Melody,
Harmony, Rhythm, Dynamics, Timbre, Texture
and Form
Line 3: Without them, music would not exist.
Line 2: So, let’s go ahead and define each of
these terms.

Line 1: Who wants to read?
Line 2: Okay. This is often the most catchy or
memorable aspect of a piece of music and it is
creates a recognizable tune.
Line 3: Let's try to look at the first picture above.
In this picture, we have a sequence of pitches,
iyon yung C,C,G,G,A,A,G. Kapag C, pitch lang
ang tawag don, pero kapag sequence of pitches
nagfo-form na ng line.
Line 4: Let's try to look at the second picture
below. When we add a sequence of pitches and
create a single line, it is called a MELODY. It is
the most obvious layer and it is louder than the
other layer in the background.

When we take some pitches and organize them
with the rhythm, it creates MELODY.
Line 5: Here’s our example.
Line 6: A melody often serves as the theme or
focal point of a musical piece. Kapag nakikinig
tayo ng isang kanta, ito yung pinaka naririnig
natin na tono. So basically, Melody is the tune of
a song.

Line 1: Who wants to read?
Line 2: When two or more different notes are
played together, it is called harmony. Harmony
gives us more color and layers or emotions to a
music, two or more notes ang naririnig natin at
the same time.
Line 3: For example, let's watch this video.
Line 4: Sa Harmony, mapapansin natin dito
madami ng layers. The trumpets and the
trombone play the main melody here.
When the other instruments in the background
play with the main melody, it is called Harmony.
