1. Balaj Yasir
Balaj’s positive attitude towards school through the year has been admirable. He has
developed an appreciation for books and is an attentive listener as the story unravels.
Over the summer, please continue reading to Balaj so that his early literacy skills continue
to develop. Reading will help spark his imagination, stimulate curiosity and help him in his
ability to listen, understand words, and create the awareness that written words have
meaning. Reading to Balaj will also help him construct new information on a wide variety
of topics. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit this term, Balaj used his senses to
investigate and explore the outdoors. He has begun to talk about his observations, and
share his experiences using prior knowledge. He has also shown an understanding of how
to care for living things and knows that plants need to be taken care of, just like people.
During guided exploration, Balaj can make choices under the teacher’s assistance. He
has an understanding on how to share and take turns, as well as solve the problem when
a challenge arises. Balaj can complete tasks under teacher’s facilitation.

2. Muhammad Ahmed Jamil


Socially, Ahmed Jamil has made great progress. He is emerging as a confident child who
is enthusiastic to learn. Ahmed enjoyed participating in group discussions and was able to
talk about himself, his likes and dislikes, his home environment, events from experience,
as well as festive events and celebrations. He liked exploring natural materials and
enjoyed talking about his observations and discoveries. His ability to apply prior
knowledge to topics was striking. During guided exploration, Ahmed could make choices,
select resources and initiate play on his own. During dramatic play, he takes on diverse
roles such as a fireman, a customer, a chef and many other characters. With regular
attendance, Ahmed can continue to shine in K4.

3. Ameerah Hamza
Throughout the year, Ameerah has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in all class
activities. Her regular attendance made her a good role model. She was always eager to
work and complete tasks with great concentration under the teacher’s assistance.
Ameerah takes pleasure in her achievements. She had no trouble initiating a conversation
or in engaging in a two – way conversation. She not only displays confidence while
participating in small group discussions, but also when it comes to recognizing and
expressing her own feelings, thoughts and emotions. Throughout our Gardening and
Spring unit, Ameerah used her senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. She was
able to make simple predictions and talk about her observations and discoveries. She has
also shown an understanding of how to care for living things. During guided exploration,
Ameerah can make choices under a teacher’s facilitation. She enjoys telling stories using
drawings and emergent writing. Ameerah continues to grow and show eagerness about
what is yet to come. Good luck in K4!

4.Malek Al Mounir
Throughout the year, Malek has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in all class
activities. He is emerging as an independent and confident child enthusiastic to learn. He
can work in order and precision for an extended period of time. Malek knows most of the
letters of the alphabet and demonstrates emergent writing in his illustrations. Throughout
our Gardening and Spring unit, Malek used his senses to investigate and explore the
outdoors. He was able to make simple predictions and talk about his observations and
discoveries. He has shown an understanding of how to care for living things, and knows
what plants need to grow. Malek’s vocabulary continues to increase, as well as his
understanding of concepts. During guided exploration, Malek was able to make choices,
select resources and initiates his own play. He loved building simple and complex models
using legos and has recently started taking on roles during dramatic play. Malek will
continue to shine in K4.

5.Teru Hagiwara
Teru’s enthusiasm and participation in all class activities has been consistent throughout
the school year. His regular attendance makes him a good role model. He was quick to
grasp concepts and completed his work independently. Teru was always eager to try new
activities and could stay on task for an extended period. He participated happily during
play and has worked towards playing cooperatively with his classmates. This quarter, Teru
has taken risks and challenged himself during play. He tested his ideas and found ways
to solve problems and new ways to do things. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit,
Teru used his senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. He did not let the language
barrier stop him from trying to share his observations and predictions. He has shown an
understanding of how to care for living things and knows that plants need to be taken care
of. During guided exploration, Teru could make choices, select resources and initiate his
own play. He was often seen organizing games. He loved building simple and complex
models using legos and recently took on the challenge of completing floor puzzles. With
Teru’s optimistic nature of learning, he will continue to shine in K4.

6.Anaya Ali Bhutto


Anaya is a child capable of many wonderful things. She continued to make slow and
steady gains this reporting period. Anaya has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in
almost all class activities through the year. She was caring and considerate to others and
the environment. She is learning to share and take turns with resources and materials.
During guided exploration, Anaya made choices, selected resources, and initiate
solitary/parallel play. She accessed all materials independently, but needed a gentle
reminder time to time to stop and clean up once the time was up. Her favorite choice to
make is either drawing or writing. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit, Anaya
participated from afar. However, with a little coaxing from her classmates and teachers,
Anaya used her senses to explore and investigate the outdoors. She was beginning to talk
about her observations and sharing her experiences using prior knowledge.

7.Muhammad Abdullah Amin


Socially, Abdullah Amin has made progress. He is emerging as an enthusiastic child who
is ready to learn. Abdullah has enjoyed participating in group discussions and is able to
talk about himself, his likes and dislikes.However, there are times when it has been
difficult for Abdullah to understand that his friends need to try things out to get it right
before he can intervene. Through guidance and nurturing, Abdullah has continued to work
towards learning how to share and play cooperatively. He has learned how to solve
problems and negotiate playing time with his friends. Throughout our Gardening and
Spring unit, Abdullah used his senses to explore and investigate the outdoors. He has
begun to talk about his observations and share his predictions. Abdullah’s irregular
attendance has caused him to miss out on concepts and skills. With regular attendance,
Abdullah can continue to shine in K4.

8. Raheel Rehman Yusuf


With support, reassurance and guidance Raheel has settled into the school environment.
He has taken great pride in keeping the classroom clean and always remembered to put
things back in the right place without any reminders. He has broken out of his comfort
zone by sharing and playing cooperatively with peers of his liking. He continues to make
choices and select resources during guided exploration with the support of his teachers.
He enjoyed cooking and cleaning in the house center, and taking on roles such as chef,
cleaner, waiter etc. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit, Raheel participated from
afar. Once again, with a little push from his classmates and teachers, Raheel used his
senses to explore and investigate the outdoors. He demonstrated an understanding of
how to care for living things and can identify the parts of a flower. Raheel’s favorite part of
the day was music and movement. He did not shy away from participating, and was
always seen doing the actions and mouthing the words.

9.Hajra Abdul Qadir


Socially, Hajra has made slow and steady progress this quarter. She has broken out of her
comfort zone by beginning to share and play cooperatively with her friends. She continued
to make choices and select resources during guided exploration with the support of her
teacher and classmates. She enjoyed cooking in the house center, and taking on roles
such as daughter, mother, and customer during dramatic play.
Hajra has developed an appreciation for books and has been an attentive listener as the
story unravels. Please continue reading to Hajra over the summer so that her early literacy
skills continue to develop. Reading will facilitate in sparking her imagination, stimulating
her curiosity and help in her ability to listen, understand words, and creating awareness
that books and the written word have meaning. Throughout our Gardening and Spring
Unit, Hajra participated from afar. However, with a little coaxing from her classmates and
teachers, Hajra used her senses to explore and investigate the outdoors. She has begun
to talk about her observations and share her experiences using prior knowledge. She

10. Johann Simon Mall


Throughout the year, Johann has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in all class
activities. He has emerged as an independent and confident child who is enthusiastic to
learn. He was usually the first to try a new activity. This quarter Johann took risks and
challenged himself during play. He tested his ideas, and found ways to solve problems
and new ways to do things. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit, Johann used his
senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. He had no trouble sharing his
observations and predictions. Johann has shown an understanding of how to care for
living things and knows that plants need to be taken care of, just like people. During
guided exploration, Johann could make choices, select resources and initiate his own play.

optimistic nature for learning, he will continue to shine in K4.

11. Muhammad Ahmed


Throughout the year, Ahmed has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in almost all
class activities. He was eager to work and completed tasks under the guidance of his
teachers. Ahmed takes pleasure in his achievements. He had no trouble initiating
conversation and engaging in a two – way conversation. Not only did he display
confidence while participating in small group discussions, but he also really took a step
forward in recognizing and expressing his own feelings, thoughts, and emotions. He has
worked hard towards sharing and playing cooperatively with his friends. At times it was
challenging for Ahmed to wait for his turn, but he has learned to be patient and to
negotiate sharing time with his classmates. During guided exploration, Ahmed could make
choices under the teacher’s facilitation. He enjoyed roleplaying and took on roles such as
a teacher reading during circle time, a gas station attendant, a cook, and a waiter.
Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit, Ahmed used his senses to investigate and
explore the outdoors. He has begun to make simple predictions and talk about his
observations and discoveries.

12. Abdullah Khan Mahar


Throughout the year, Abdullah Khan has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in all
class activities. His regular attendance made him a good role model. He was always
eager to work and completes tasks with great concentration. Abdullah takes pleasure in
his achievements. He has no trouble initiating conversation and engaging in a two – way
conversation. He enjoys planning the day with his teachers and is an excellent
communicator. Not only did he display confidence while participating in small group
discussions, but also when it came to recognizing and expressing his own feelings,
thoughts and emotions. Throughout our Gardening and Spring Unit, Abdullah used his
senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. He could make simple predictions and talk
about his observations and discoveries. He has shown an understanding of how to care
for living things, and knows that seeds need soil, water and sunlight to grow into plants.
This quarter Abdullah has taken risks and challenged himself during play. He tested his
ideas, found ways to solve problems and new ways to do things, especially during guided
exploration. Abdullah changed his strategy when required and reviewed how well the
approach worked. Abdullah is prepared for the challenges and tasks ahead of him.

13. Zoya Khurram


Throughout the year, Zoya has demonstrated an eagerness and interest in all class
activities. She has emerged as an independent and confident child enthusiastic to learn.
She can work together in pairs and in large groups. Zoya has had no trouble forming
friendships with her classmates and adults. She has exhibited clear speech and loved to
engage in a two – way conversation. Zoya had no trouble initiating conversation, asking
questions, sharing materials and taking turns. She has become confident in expressing
her thoughts, ideas and feelings. During guided exploration, she was able to make
choices, select resources and initiate her own play. Zoya demonstrated independent
thinking when involved in play. Throughout our Gardening and Spring unit Zoya used her
senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. She was able to make simple predictions
and talk about her observations and discoveries. She has also shown an understanding of
how to care for living things, and knows that plants need, sunlight, water, and soil to grow.
With her positive attitude, she will continue to shine in K4.

14. Zainab Kashif


Zainab’s positive attitude towards school through the year has been admirable. She
continued to develop her appreciation of books and was an attentive listener as the story
unravels. In addition, she has started to add details to her story illustrations which exhibits
a growth in her comprehension skills. Please continue to read to Zainab during the
summer break as it will allow her to extend her vocabulary as well as increase her
confidence to participate in small group discussions.
Zainab exhibits acceptable behavior in understanding preschool rules. She was helpful,
caring, respectful, and considerate to others and the environment. She shared and took
turns with resources and materials. During guided exploration, Zainab could make
choices, select resources and initiate own play. She accesses all materials independently
and does not need a reminder to clean up after herself. Her favorite choice to make is
either drawing or writing, or roleplaying in the kitchen area. Throughout our Gardening and
Spring Unit, Zainab used her senses to investigate and explore the outdoors. She has
begun to talk about her observations, and share her experiences using prior knowledge.
She has shown an understanding of how to care for living things and knows that plants
need to be taken care of, just like people. Her optimistic nature will continue to shine in
K4.
