RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Effects of technology to the academic development of grade 11 students

Advantages of technology to the academic performance of students

Valuable insights into the advantage of technology to the academic

performance of students have been gained through analyzing transcribed

responses from Grade 11 students at Aringay National High school. The question

generates two theme.

Enabling students fulfill their tasks easily with the help of accessing

different informations and Technology greatly affects students in

improving their knowledge and academic performances.

The theme was Enabling students fulfill their tasks easily with the help of

improving their knowledge and academic performances. Technology makes the

work of students more easier and convenient with the help of informations and
ideas they gathered. In such case students have difficulty in answering their

activities , just type and click on the internet there are many informations pop ups

and only you can choose for the appropriate ideas for your work. On other hand

technology also affectin improving the knowledge of learners. In these case

these technologies enhances ,enables and allow learners to gain and developed

their knowledge as well as improved their academic performances. This two

analyzed trascribed responses are the advantages of technology for the

students in their academic performance.

The findings of this study is alligned with the previous reseach on role of

technology in simplifying school work by Johnson (2020). He also conducted a

similar study that discuss how technology as computers , laptops , cellphones

and other educational software can make school work more efficient and

engaging.

Other similar studies of Ozturk and Gultekin (2020) , emphasizes that

technology integration positively affects student’s knowledge acquisition and

leads to improved academic performance across various subjects and grade

levels.

The data collected in the study reveals that technology helps student make

their school works easier with the help of various informations and it can improve

students knowledge in their academic performances. As mentioned by

STUDENT 4 “ Mas mapapadali ang aking mga gawain at makatulong ito para

mabilis kong ma gather yung mga information at pinapadali niya yung pag aaral

ko”. Also STUDENT 12 states that “it can give you the access para mas lalong

mapadali ang mga ginagawa natin dahil dito mas napapadali at natututo tayo

kaagad”. This means that technology is a great help for them. In improving the

students knowledge and academic performace. It is evedent that two students

referred as STUDENT 5 AND 8 greatly improves their knowlegde because of

technology stating , “It helps us enhance our own knowledge” and “mas

nagagain yung knowledge ng mga students kapag may technology”.

These statements from the students indicates that they are more likely to

use technology for them to complete their tasks easier as we know technology

provides a wide range of informations and ideas for students to work on. More

over this technology helps students widen and enhance their knowlegde and

leads to improvement in their academic performances.

Reasons why student still continue to use technology
