2. PERFECT GERUND & PERFECT PARTICIPLE CLAUSES: having + V3/ed


2.1. Perfect Gerund:
a. Cách dùng:
- Được dùng để đề cập đến một sự việc, hành động đã xảy ra ở trong quá khứ hoặc trước thời
điểm của sự việc được nhắc đến ở mệnh đề chính.
E.g. + The boy was accused of having stolen the wallet. (Cậu bé bị buộc tội là đã lấy
trộm cái ví Cền)
+ KaCe apologized for having cheated on her boyfriend all along. (KaCe xin lỗi vì
đã lừa dối bạn trai của cô ấy suốt thời gian qua.)
b. Vị trí:
- Làm chủ từ trong câu:

- Làm túc từ theo sau giới từ và một số động từ.

2.2. Perfect Par`ciple:


Cách dùng: (Rút gọn chủ từ khi 2 mệnh đề có cùng chủ từ và có nhấn mạnh hành động xảy ra
trước và sau)

E.g. + Having passed the exam, Joe felt relieved to go on holiday.
- Dùng để nói về lý do cho hành động trong mệnh đề chính.

3. CLEFT SENTENCE
Câu chẻ là gì?
è Câu chẻ là câu được thành lập với cấu trúc “It be … who/that …”, được dùng với chức năng
để nhấn mạnh một thành phần trong câu như chủ ngữ, túc từ, trạng từ.

è Cấu trúc chung: It is/was + [thành phần cần nhấn mạnh] + that/who …
