(2023) "Readiness of senior high school grade 12 ABM students in

Batangas City to take an accounting degree in college." SDCA Asia-Pacific Multidisciplinary Research
Journal: 49.
Nicolas, Jehara Mae D., et al (2023) studied grade 12 ABM senior high school student's preparedness for
college students in Batangas City to enroll in accounting programs. The study aimed to quantify the level
of college preparation and ascertain the abilities of ABM students in Grade 12 to recognize the important
relationship between ABM grade 12 students' preparedness and ABM skills, the obstacles that pupils
faced, and to create a plan of action according to the results. The main method of the study was a self-
constructed questionnaire, and the researchers employed a descriptive research design with stratified
random sampling. Statistical tools were utilized to analyze the collected data. The internet was the source
material that was used to collect the necessary information. According to the results, most students felt
that, in terms of cognitive methods, content understanding, academic behavior, and contextual abilities
and awareness, they were prepared to pursue an accounting degree in college. The findings of the
assessment of Grade 12 ABM abilities in terms of communication, teamwork, creativity, and critical
thinking show that the students were in a fairly good position to pursue an accounting degree in college.
There was a positive link between the ABM skills and the readiness of grade 12 pupils. Due to these
difficulties, ABM students encountered various circumstances that frequently had an impact on their
academic achievement. The action plan sought to address the issues facing ABM students, the Four
Facets of College Readiness, and the Four C's of 21st Century Learning Skills. The items with the lowest
scores in each area were the focus of the objectives. Its effectiveness was assessed by adding a success
indicator.
