HARDSCAPE ELEMENTS:
• Driveways –
A driveway with over 20 ft. width which means excellent functionality of
traffic and a beautiful environment to enjoy it.

• Retaining walls-
A retaining wall was used to stop erosion & to level the ground.

• Sleeper walls & Stairs-
Sleepers are used to create visible borders.
Stairs are used to provide easy access at different elevation level ground.

Walkways/ Pathways (stone)-


Stone pathways are provided a way to get to different parts of the yard,
and allow access.

• Parking area-
Parking facilities is provided for safe, convenient and organized spaces
for parking vehicles.

• Granite Seating area , Wooden & RCC benches-


Seating is provided because the seating area is the heart of most gardens,
so it's important that the area feels welcoming, comfortable and
aesthetically pleasing.

Statues-
For aesthetical appearance.

• Gazebo-
Gazebos are freestanding or attached to a garden wall, roofed and open
on all sides. They provide shade & shelter from rain and a place to rest.

• Swimming area
Pools are used for bathing activities such as playing, water exercising,
floating on inner tubes or cooling off on hot days.

Kid’s Play area:


Kids' play area offer the perfect blend of relaxation and recreation for the
kids.

SOFTSCAPE ELEMENTS:
• Huge and dense trees are provide all along the compound wall as a buffer
from the noise of the exterior road thus preventing noise pollution and
purifying the internal environment.

• Flowering is used as the medium of segregation of spaces

• Low level and dense shrubs runs adjacent throughout the pathway to
create a buffer between two spaces as well as hides the services running
through it.

• Avenues are created along the lawn using palm trees.

• The lawn has soft green cover over the entire area.

• Granite seating are created to give a natural touch to the place. •


Surrounded by the trees of Champa flower (Botanical Name: Plumeria)
which is one of the most fragrant flowers makes the space more natural
and pleasant.

PLANT STUDY:
There are used outdoor plants to keep the temperature cool and ventilate the
complex. Additionally, they add aesthetic value to our home decor and
experience fresh natural air with these outdoor and indoor house plants.

At Kalpataru Riverside Complex we can see generally following types of Trees,


Plants as well as Shrubs:

Trees- Palm trees (Arecaceae), Champa flower tree (Plumeria)

Shrubs-Yew bushes, Garden Croton.

Plant – Sweet violet (Viola odorata), Rose (Rosa rubiginosa), Tulip (Tulipa spp.)

ANALYSIS (THINGS TO BE IMPROVED):

• Plants provided at boundary may having some distance from boundary


wall, because more the closer trees/ plants more they will harm the
boundary wall.

• Lawn should in level for proper shape and height.

• Swimming pool area should be covered by plants from all the sides for
privacy purpose.

CONCLUSION:

As beautiful spaces, gardens fill us with hope and wonder. They


nurture friendships and communities. Thoughtfully crafted,
they make us pause and appreciate our surroundings. Full of
edible plants, they nourish us.
By this case study I know about how to choose the area for
different hardscape elements with respect to their purpose,
also know about location of trees, plant, shrubs and there
types.
