Prabhat Agrawal, Senior Advisor, Gaffney Cline


Prabhat Agrawal, CFA, is a Senior Advisor at GaffneyCline based in Singapore. He has over 21 years of
experience in the oil and gas industry, from technical, commercial, and strategic assignments within Asia,
Africa, and the Middle East. He is experienced in asset valua�on, energy project planning, and energy
markets. In recent assignments, he provided advice on energy transi�on planning, such as se�ng up CCS
business and policy, carbon emissions accoun�ng, and energy transi�on impact on valua�on. Prabhat is
qualified in chemical engineering (BTech & MEng), finance (MSc in Financial Eng. and CFA), and project

Michael Arruda, AIEN Asia Regional Director; Senior Counsel, King & Spalding, LLP
Michael (Mike) Arruda is a senior energy lawyer with over 40 years of experience represen�ng clients in
the global oil and gas industry. His prac�ce centers on the acquisi�on, opera�on and dives�ture of oil
and gas interests, as well as the decommissioning of assets in each of these phases. His clients include
energy companies based in Asia making outbound investments across Asia and overseas, as well as
energy companies based overseas making inbound energy investments.

Mike's experience with industry transac�ons includes compe��ve tenders and auc�ons, data

of Execu�ve Director at the Indonesia CCS Center. Proficient in consultancy, research, project

driving sustainable solu�ons and decarbonizing the energy sector. Her collabora�ons span governments,

Angie Bible, Counsel, Shearman & Sterling LLP


Angie Bible is counsel in the Energy Industry Group in Singapore. She has a wide range of experience in
the interna�onal and U.S. energy sectors, with a par�cular focus on upstream, midstream (including
LNG), downstream, green energy, and carbon capture-related transac�ons and projects, including
acquisi�ons and dives�tures, joint ventures, and other complex commercial maters. Angie has worked
on CC(U)S mandates in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the United States.

Angie has significant experience in dra�ing and nego�a�ng joint opera�ng agreements, farmout
agreements, joint development agreements, acreage exchange agreements, oil and gas leases,
agreements for various services, crude oil connec�on, gas gathering and processing, NGL transporta�on,
frac�ona�on and storage, royalty crea�on, the purchase and sale of assets, companies, and produc�on.
Her experience includes crea�ng opera�ng agreements and services agreements for CO2 transporta�on
and sequestra�on.

Angie joined Shearman & Sterling in 2018 following several years as in-house counsel at a mul�na�onal
energy company, where she handled upstream and midstream legal maters in North America. Prior to
that, she worked at a large interna�onal law firm. Before law school, she was a newspaper crime
reporter.

Zoë Bromage, Partner, King & Spalding LLP


Zoë Bromage is an energy partner in King & Spalding’s Singapore office. Her prac�ce focuses on cross-
border transac�ons, project development and first-of-their-kind projects in the energy sector.

Zoë represents clients from the full spectrum of the energy industry throughout Asia and globally on
structuring and developing projects in the tradi�onal oil, gas and LNG sectors, as well as the new

Ying Ying has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector. Her focus in Standard Chartered covers
key emission reduc�on solu�ons such as CCS and hydrogen. She also plays an ac�ve role in carbon
market development.

Prior to her �me in the bank, Ying Ying worked with Mitsubishi Corpora�on on LNG value chain
investment. She was also a core team member of NextGen CDR Facility, a joint effort between South Pole
and MC which aims to scale up carbon removal technologies and catalyze the market for high-quality
carbon removals, this including various CCS use cases.

Ying Ying completed a course in Climate Change Management & Finance at Imperial College in 2021, and
she holds an MSc in Metals and Energy Finance as well as a B.Eng in Civil Engineering. Ying Ying draws
track record from MENA, ASEAN and Greater China with local experience in Singapore, London and
Beijing.

Michael Harrison, Partner, Baker Bots LLP


Michael Harrison is a leading interna�onal projects and transac�on lawyer and a partner in Baker Bots’
Singapore global projects prac�ce. Michael has a broad prac�ce ranging from energy and power, CCS /
CCUS, hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels, mining and natural resources, LNG and natural gas, ports and

Egon van der Hoeven, Vice President Business Development Asia Pacific, ExxonMobil Low Carbon
Solu�ons
Egon joined ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solu�ons in October 2023. In this role, Egon has the responsibility
for ExxonMobil’s business development ac�vi�es in the low carbon solu�ons space in South East Asia
with a focus on cross border Carbon Capture and Sequestra�on (CCS) value chains. Previously, Egon held
a variety of execu�ve management posi�ons in the US, Asia Pacific and Africa, including and recently SVP
business development of ExxonMobil’s affiliate in Indonesia. Other assignments include opportunity
origina�on, commercial nego�a�ons, planning and analyst roles.

He has more than 25 years of oil and gas experience and has worked in explora�on, gas marke�ng,
midstream, refining & supply and research throughout the US, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Prior to
joining ExxonMobil, Egon was a management consultant.
Egon has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Del� University of Technology and an MBA in strategic
management and finance from the University of Pennsylvania. He is ac�ve in the Associa�on of
Interna�onal Energy Nego�ators (AIEN), and the South East Asia Petroleum Explora�on Society
(SEAPEX).

Tina Soliman Hunter, Professor of Energy and Resources Law, Director of the Centre for Energy and
Natural Resources Innova�on and Transforma�on (CENRIT), Macquarie University
Professor Tina Soliman Hunter is a Professor of Energy and Resources Law at Macquarie University, and
the Director of the Centre for Energy and Natural Resources Innova�on and Transforma�on (CENRIT) at
Macquarie University.
She teaches and researches in offshore energy law (both hydrocarbons and renewables), infrastructure
decommissioning, energy installa�ons, facility repurposing, offshore CCS, Ar�c recourses law and policy
and energy law. Much of her research is mul�disciplinary in nature, and includes working with engineers,
geologists and poli�cal scien�sts.

Professor Soliman Hunter also is a Visi�ng Professor of Earth Sciences at the Biological Research
Ins�tute, Tomsk State University and an Honorary Professor at the University of Eastern Finland.
Tina has undertaken teaching and research in numerous countries including the UK, Australia, Norway,
Canada, Iceland, Greece, Finland, Russia, the USA, and the Philippines.

Tomonori Ikeno, Managing Execu�ve Officer, JAPEX


Tomonori Ikeno is a Managing Execu�ve Officer of Japan Petroleum Explora�on Co., Ltd. (JAPEX), having
been with JAPEX since 1986, with over 35 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry. Since
2022, he has overseen the carbon-neutral business ventures of JAPEX in Japan, which encompass the
Japanese Advanced CCS Projects located in Tomakomai and East Niigata.

Tomonori holds a Ph.D. in Law from Kobe University as well as an MBA from Aoyama Business School.
Tomonori is a commited member of the Associa�on of Interna�onal Energy Nego�ators (AIEN). He
served as the Director of the Japan Sub-Chapter from 2010 to 2014. He was also elected as a Director At-
Large of AIEN from 2011 to 2014.

Børre Jacobsen, Managing Director Northern Lights JV


Børre has been in the energy business for almost 30 years. A�er gradua�ng with a finance degree from
Texas A&M University, he joined Shell in 1992 where he has held various finance, commercial and
management roles.

He spent 4 years in London in Shell’s LNG business, and then returned to Norway as commercial
discipline lead for joint venture infrastructure agreements. In 2009 he was appointed corporate affairs
director in Norske Shell and assumed the role as downstream director in Norske Shell in 2014. He
subsequently took the asset management and business development role for Shell Integrated Gas in
Russia.

Since September 2020 he has led the setup of Northern Lights JV and assumed the role as the company’s
first Managing Director in March 2021.

Børre is married with three grown children. He loves reading, skiing and spending �me at his small farm
located in Ryfylke outside Stavanger, surrounded by �ords and mighty mountains.

Sarah Pietraszek-Matner, Global Carbon Storage Business Development Manager, ExxonMobil


Sarah Pietraszek-Matner is the Global Carbon Storage Business Development Manager for the
ExxonMobil Technology & Engineering Company in Spring, Texas, USA.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Pietraszek-Matner has held various Conven�onal and Unconven�onal
technical, managerial, and commercial Oil & Gas assignments across the upstream at ExxonMobil. She
transi�oned to the ExxonMobil Technology & Engineering company in 2023 as the Global Carbon Storage
Business Development Manager for the ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solu�ons company.
A common theme throughout Dr. Pietraszek-Matner’s assignments has been upstream regulatory
interface and advocacy. In her current role as Global Carbon Storage Business Development Manager, Dr.
Pietraszek-Matner leads teams across mul�ple con�nents responsible for developing an integrated
global por�olio of pore space opportuni�es. She facilitates conversa�ons and decisions across mul�ple
func�ons, companies and resource owners with the intent to create clarity around subsurface concepts,
issues, and risks relevant to commercial and responsible pore space development. Her focus is on
ensuring non-technical par�es have an understanding of carbon storage concepts that are relevant to
commercial and regulatory development.

Vitaly Osokin, Deputy General Manager, Chevron Corporate Business Development – Asia Pacific
Vitaly Osokin is currently a Deputy General Manager with Chevron’s Corporate Business Development
based in Singapore. He is responsible for iden�fying, evalua�ng & execu�ng new energies business
development opportuni�es in Asia Pacific in alignment with the company strategy in the region.
Vitaly received his Master’s in Business Administra�on (MBA) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of
Business before joining Chevron in 2010 as a commercial analyst. He has since held numerous business
development and commercial posi�ons of increasing responsibility in the United States, Kazakhstan, the
United Kingdom, and Thailand prior to assuming his current role in August 2019.

Cameron W. Remeljej, Head of Carbon Capture and Storage, Woodside Energy


Cameron W Remeljej is currently the Head of CCS with Woodside Energy. Cameron is currently
responsible for the development of Woodside’s CCS projects including the assessment and development
of point source capture technologies. Cameron has 34 years of industry experience, 33 of those with BHP
Petroleum prior to the recent merger. His experience over this �me includes most recently working on
the decarboniza�on of Oil, Gas, Mining and Steel produc�on opera�ons. Prior to this Cameron spent 20
years in the Projects Team, designing, construc�ng and commissioning on shore gas processing plants in
the USA, Pakistan and Australia. The gas processing plants included gas to methanol, refrigerated plants,
large compression plants, and cryogenic nitrogen rejec�on plants. 10 years in Opera�ons across drilling,
reservoir engineering, and produc�on opera�ons (offshore and onshore) proceeded the project
development work. Cameron holds a bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Adelaide), MBA (Deakin) and
MSc Process Integra�on (Monash).

Norihiko Saeki, Director for CCS Policy, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry of Japan (METI)
Norihiko Saeki serves as the Director for CCS Policy, the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE),
the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI)

Mr. Saeki is responsible for formula�ng na�onal strategy for Carbon Capture and Sequestra�on (CCS) in
the Japanese government and currently engaged in dra�ing CCUS Business Act and CCUS Diplomacy as
well.
Before assuming this duty, Mr. Saeki was the Execu�ve Director at Japan External Trade Organiza�on
(JETRO) Los Angeles office and supported to establish Japanese affiliated companies – “Japan Hydrogen
Forum (JH2F)” in December 2022 to support the US decarboniza�on efforts. He has reached many
leaders of hydrogen energy in California and other regions across the United States.

Mr. Saeki previously worked as the principal deputy director at Mineral Resources Div. in ANRE, METI.
He was engaged in designa�ng “na�onal strategic elements” and securing procurement and investment
through the amendment to JOGMEC. He also led the bilateral and mul�lateral natural resources
diplomacy to secure the stable supply of cri�cal minerals to Japan.

He joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan in 2001 and has been in charge of
various high-tech areas, such as aerospace and defense, metals & materials, bio, health care and
informa�on technology.

He received his law bachelor’s degree from University of Tokyo in 2000 and served as a visi�ng scholar at
the Johns Hopkins University SAIS in 2009-2010 and completed Management Accelera�on Program in
the Anderson School of Management, UCLA in 2022.

Beyond his legal prac�ce, Fariz is also an adjunct lecturer for the Oil & Gas Masters course at Universi�
Teknologi PETRONAS.

Asheesh Sastry, Managing Director & Senior Partner, Boston Consulting Group
Asheesh Sastry joined Boston Consul�ng Group in June 2014. He is a core member of the firm's Energy
prac�ce, specializing in the oil and gas sector, with a focus on upstream and natural gas issues. He also
has broad experience in downstream and petrochemicals. Asheesh is also a member of the firm’s
Strategy prac�ce.

Asheesh has worked extensively with na�onal and interna�onal oil companies and chemical producers
across Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia on topics covering upstream transforma�on,
gas/liquified-natural-gas strategies, refining strategy, opera�onal improvement, people and change
management, and joint-venture set-up.

Prior to joining the firm, Asheesh was a partner at Booz & Company, having spent 9 years there, and 5
years at Royal Dutch/Shell.

Phil Solomon, Managing Director, BRG


Phillip Solomon is a managing director in BRG’s Energy & Climate prac�ce, based in Singapore. He is a
seasoned senior energy execu�ve and recognized industry expert with nearly 30 years of experience in
the oil and gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), power, renewables, and u�lity infrastructure sectors. He has
worked as an owner/operator, original equipment manufacturer, and consultant throughout his career
and has led the development of energy projects across the globe. Mr. Solomon has par�cular
commercial exper�se in the upstream, midstream/LNG and CCS sectors with extensive experience in
advising LNG, FSRU and CCS developers on commercial and regulatory issues. Mr. Solomon has advised
regional governments here in Asia on their CCS project developments and the alloca�on of risks and
liabili�es as emerge in emerging sectors. He has also been appointed as an expert witness in rela�on to

royalty payment disputes and LNG trading arbitra�ons. Mr. Solomon is an ac�ve member of the
Associa�on of Energy Nego�ators (AIEN).

Joseph Stroffolino, Director, Solution Development (APAC), Air Liquide


Joseph Stroffolino is Director of Solu�on Development for APAC, based in Singapore. In this capacity, he
oversees the design, screening, and selec�on of technology schemes for new and exis�ng industrial gas
plants within the Asia Pacific region, which includes cri�cal industrial molecules oxygen, nitrogen, other
rare air gases, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia, and methanol. He is also
responsible for Energy Transi�on solu�ons in the region and applies his exper�se toward the
decarboniza�on of exis�ng produc�on pathways, the naviga�on of local carbon regula�ons, and
enabling market clients and the Air Liquide Group in achieving their climate objec�ves. Prior to this role,
Joseph brings nearly 13 years of experience in process engineering, technology sales, and solu�on
development in the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe. Joseph is an Air Liquide Group Interna�onal
Expert in solu�on development and design and holds six granted patents.

Mark Tandy, Business Development Manager CCS, TotalEnergies


Mark works in the Carbon Capture and Storage Business Unit at TotalEnergies and since 2020 has been
based in their Head Office in Paris. He has over 25 years of experience in the upstream energy sector,
the last four of which have been exclusively in CCS. When he first arrived in Paris, he worked on a
number of the company’s CCS projects in Europe mainly in the UK and Demakr, he is currently
responsible for origina�on and ini�a�on of CCS projects in the Asia Pacific region. He travels to the
region on a regular basis. He is passionate about decarbonisa�on and sustainable development. He
brings to his current role experience of having worked for several interna�onal companies across the
globe in a host of joint venture management, commercial and business development roles. He has a
G&G background but turned to the dark side early in his career and the subsurface is now a distant
memory. His first degree is from the University of Cardiff, he has an MBA from Oxford University, is an
alumnus of the Program on Nego�a�on from Harvard Law School and recently par�cipate in a short
course on Sustainable Finance at Cambridge University.

Mark is married with three young children which keeps him occupied enough but in what free �me he
has, he is a keen endurance runner and cyclist, by his own admission he’s happiest running at home in
the Sco�sh Highlands with his soul mate Bruno, a 10-year-old Border Collie.

Kelvin Wong, Partner, Allen & Gledhill


Kelvin is Co-Head of the Firm’s Corporate & Commercial Department and co-heads the Energy,
Infrastructure & Projects Prac�ce as well as the Employment, Health & Safety Prac�ce.

Kelvin regularly acts as counsel to key global and local players in the energy, gas, petrochemical, specialty
gases, waste management, and water treatment sectors. He has considerable experience working on
complex projects, from project structuring and development to opera�ons and maintenance. Kelvin also
works extensively on renewables and carbon management projects in the region and is widely regarded
as one of the leading lawyers and a trusted legal adviser for infrastructure projects in the region.

Kelvin’s prac�ce also includes district cooling, storage and terminalling, tolling and manufacturing
arrangements. He regularly advises on a broad range of commercial transac�ons and public-private
partnerships, and other procurement and supply arrangements.

Emry Hisham Yusoff, Senior General Manager Carbon Management, PETRONAS
Emry is the appointed Head of Carbon Management, PETRONAS effec�ve 1st May 2022. Part of his roles
is to build and grow the Carbon Management in enabling PETRONAS to achieve its 2050 net zero
ambi�on, and all interim sustainability targets, leveraging the natural geological advantages of Malaysia
to build a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) business that will help PETRONAS become a regional CCS
hub, and a global leader in CCS.

Emry’s career in PETRONAS started in 1993 as a Petroleum Engineer where he was involved in reservoir
surveillance and management of fields in Peninsular Malaysia Opera�on in Ker�h, Terengganu, Malaysia.
In the ensuing years, he worked in other areas such as workover and drilling, reservoir engineering, and
project management, and held various leadership roles including Head of Small Field and Acid Gas
Management, Head of Petroleum Resources Development, and Head of Petroleum Engineering. Emry
has also served as Execu�ve Assistant to the President and Chief Execu�ve Officer of PETRONAS.

In 2017, he was appointed Country Head of Myanmar prior to his last posi�on as Head of PETRONAS
Mexico. Having spent more than 30 years in the company, he gained in-depth techno-commercial
knowledge and skillsets covering Explora�on, Development and Produc�on, and a full spectrum of
Upstream business.
Emry holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, USA. In
2019, he completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, University of
Pennsylvania, USA.
