A football poster should encapsulate the essence of a football game and show those

viewing the poster, why they should attend such a game. In the football poster, I included images
that I felt would best convey the energy and excitement of a football game. I created a digital
poster using the standard poster size in Canva. Through my poster, I aim to present the spirit that
comes with attending a University of Central Florida (UCF) football game and show information
to try and get people to come. I used the font “Retro Bright Game On Glitch Text Effect” on
Canva with a hollow effect so viewers could still see the images behind the text. I chose not to
use team colors on the text because I felt that there were enough team colors shown within the
images, thus, did not want to overwhelm those viewing the poster. Images showing the facial
expressions and body language of those in the stands, the players, and the coaches will best
convey the energy and excitement of a football game. I included UCF’s main slogan, “GO
KNIGHTS…CHARGE ON!” in the center of the poster, on top of the images to portray further
the energy surrounding a UCF football game as a UCF Knight.
The first image, in the top left corner, shows the good spirit that is shared amongst the
teammates on the field. Similarly, the second image, in the top right corner, represents the
passion that the players have for their teammates and the game. These two images are side by
side to illustrate two means by which the players interact with each other during a game. The
third and fourth images contain spectators holding items with a slogan and/or logo on them. The
third image shows someone proudly holding a banner with the UCF logo while the rest of the
crowd watches the game. The fourth image focuses on one spectator holding a white poster with
the phrase, “Let US IN We’re Your Knightmare” in black lettering, with UCF on the sides at the
top. Both images delineate different ways in which spectators support the UCF football team
with physical items that can be seen from further away. In the second half of the poster, the two
images in the middle feature how the game of college football is played. The image on the left
shows the football field and how it is painted, with the school logo and numbered yards. The
image on the right reveals a UCF football player running with the ball tucked away in his arm.
Each institution has its own set of traditions. The poster must include how traditions
affect the events within a football game. The last two images at the bottom display two separate
traditions that impact the culture around a college football game. The image on the left shows the
football players going underneath the fire and smoke that is released as they come on the field.
The image on the right shows the mascot, Knightro, crowd surfing. It is typical for Knightro to
make an appearance at the football game.
