INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (ILO’s):

The children will be able to –


● Identify the Earth and Sky in pictures and models.

● Differentiate the parts of the Earth.

● Name the parts of the Earth.

● Find out the difference between Sun, moon and stars.

● Find out when the sun appears in the sky and when the moon and stars.

ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING:


What strategies will I use to find out how the children are learning throughout the lesson?
I will use the following assessment approaches and tools:

By asking question:
● Where do they live?

● What they know about earth? By showing the globe.

● What they see on sky in night and day?

● Which color show the water?

● Green color indicates which area?

Data collection
How will I gather the evidence to indicate whether the children have met the ILO’s by the
end of the lesson? I will use the following process to gather the data:

Teacher will note down all answers to questions from all students on the assessment sheet. (assessment sheet
will attach with lesson plan)

METHODOLOGY/PROCESS: (How will I guide the children toward the objectives?)

Before starting the lesson, teacher have to get attention from students. Teacher will develop the interest
of student towards the lesson by showing model or pictures of globe, sun, moon and stars. Teacher will
ask related question from topic for educational interest and will start teaching process by connecting
with the present lesson.
1. ACCESSING PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: What prior knowledge, experiences, and
interests of the children can I use to connect them to the subject matter to be taught?

Teacher will ask questions to students:


● What you know about Earth?

● Where you walk?

● Where are you sitting right now?

● What you see on sky in day time?

● When moon appears on the sky?

2. LEARNING SEQUENCES AND PACING: Name each phase of the lesson such as, describe
the subject matter to be learned, the activity planned, and indicate the time it will take the
children to complete each phase.

● Activity no 1:
First teacher will define parts of the earth by showing globe. For their educational interest.
Teacher give student’s activity sheet for coloring on land and water area by respecting color.


Activity no 2:
Teacher will show picture of sky and will ask what you see in the sky on day time?

● I can be seen in day time.


● I am like a very big and bright ball.
● I am very hot and give you light.

Activity no 3:
Teacher will show the picture of sky and ask what you see on the sky in night time?

● We can be seen in night time.
