Exercise 02
1. Start Revit 2019

2. Open the file Exercise_02.rvt

3. Click Air Handling Unit at the bottom. Hover over the square with X inside it at
the right of the AHU, Revit will show you a tooltip “Create Duct”; click it to start
creating ducts. Go to the right by 1000mm, and click. Go up with angle=90, and
type 8750, and press [Enter], then press [Esc] twice to end the command

4. Click the long duct. What is the length of the long duct? _____________

5. Click the temporary dimension to change it to 8650

6. From Systems tab, click Duct command. Move the cursor up until you see
alignment line with the top left Air Terminal, the first click should be at the
center of the main duct, and then go to the left measuring 2500mm, click to
stop drawing, press [Esc] twice to end the command

7. Start Flex Duct command, start from the center of the upper left Air Terminal,
and connect it to the duct you just did

8. Repeat the process for the lower left Air Terminal

9. Click the T at the top, and click the plus sign to its right to make it rectangular
cross. Hover over the right of the rectangular cross, right-click and select Draw
Duct option, draw a duct 1500mm, and press [Esc] twice to end the command.
Start Flex Duct command, start from the center of the upper right Air Terminal,
and connect it to the duct you just did

10. Repeat the process for the lower right Air Terminal

11. Using Window, or Crossing select all elements

12. From context tab, click Filter button, how many duct fitting you have?
____________.

13. Click Check None button, and select Air Terminals (they should be four), click
OK. Now only the four Air Terminal are selected. Click anywhere to deselect
elements

14. Save and close the file
