Adding Plumbing Fixtures and Equipment

Exercise 19
1. Start Revit 2019

2. Open the file Exercise_19.rvt

3. Go to Plumbing / Plumbing / Floor Plans / 00 Ground – Plumbing view

4. Zoom to the Gents Room at the bottom of the floor plan

5. Using Reference Plane command, add the following planes at the edge of face
of each toilet’s wall, and at the middle:

6. Using Aligned Dimension, add three dimension like shown below:

7. Click (EQ) for each dimension; to make all dimensions equally spaced, hence
making sure that the middle ref plane is at exactly the middle of the gents room

8. Delete the three dimensions, when the warning message comes up, click OK.

9. Add Plumbing Fixture = M_Water Closet – Flush Tank Public – Flushing

Greater than 6.1 Lpf. Rotate the fixture using [Space] bar, and insert three of
them just like the following:

10. Do the same thing for the Ladies room

11. In the Gents Room, add two M_Urinal – Wall Hung 25mm Flush Valve

12. Start Plumbing Fixtures, click Load Family button, go to Plumbing / MEP /
Fixtures / Lavatories / M_Lavatory - Wall Mounted.rfa

13. Insert three of these in the Gents Room, and three in Ladies Room

14. Start Mechanical Equipment, click Load Family button, go to Plumbing / MEP /
Equipment / Water Heaters / M_Water Heater.rfa

15. Insert one 152 L in the Cafeteria at the lower right corner, and set Offset =
1000mm

16. Save and close the file
