Some Modifying commands

Exercise 03
1. Start Revit 2019

2. Open the file Exercise_03.rvt

3. Zoom to the top left room, and move the light to the top left of the ceiling grid

4. Copy it three times to make it look like the following:

5. Zoom to the top right room. Rotate the light 45o to fit into the ceiling grid (you can
use Align command, if you want)

6. Then copy it three times

7. Zoom to the top left room, and select the two right lights. Start Mirror – Pick
Axis command, and select the center of the wall at the right of the two lights

8. Align the top one to the ceiling grid, and delete the other light

9. Using Linear Array, array the top light five times to the right using 1200mm
distance between them. Also, using the Linear Array, array the resultant lights
downward two times using 1800mm distance between them

10. This will be the result:

11. Zoom to the room containing the spotlight. Select the spotlight, and start Radial
Array, array it 24 times in 360o using the intersection of the two green lines as
the Center of Rotation

12. From Project Browser go to Mechanical / HVAC / Floor Plans / 1 – Mech

13. Extend the lower small ducts to the main duct

14. Using Trim / Extend to Corner join the magenta horizontal and vertical ducts

15. Using Split Element, split the horizontal magenta duct using more than one
method

16. Save and close the file
