Additional Modifying commands

Exercise 5-2
1. Start Revit 2018

2. Open the file Exercise 5-2.rvt

3. Align the leftmost wall left edge with gridline A

4. Align the lowest wall bottom edge with gridline 3

5. Create a filleted arc between these two walls with R = 3750mm

6. Click the upper horizontal wall. Drag the blue filled circle to the right a little bit.
Click the rightmost vertical wall. Drag the blue filled circle to north a little bit

7. Using Trim/Extend to corner fillet the two walls

8. Select one of the walls, right-click, and select Create Similar option

9. Draw a horizontal wall almost at the middle between gridlines 1 & 2, from left to
right outside the building

10. Start Trim/Extend Multiple Elements and select the Reference to be the vertical
wall located at gridline B, then click the left portion of the wall. That should
clean it up

11. Select the orphan wall at the top right of the building, and check its properties

12. Start Match Type Properties command, select Foundation-300mm Concrete


wall, then click the outside of the wall of the building

13. If the outside wall is not connected well, use Trim/Extend to Corner, and
Trim/Extend Multiple Elements to make it right

14. Go to Level 1 floor plan view

15. You will not see anything. Using Properties, set Underlay Range Base Level to
be Level 2. What are you see now?

16. Save and close the file
