Batch Copy

Exercise 06
1. Start Revit 2019

2. Open the file Exercise_06.rvt

3. You are at Mechanical / HVAC / Floor plans / 00 Ground – HVAC

4. Go to Collaborate tab, locate Coordinate panel, click Copy / Monitor drop-

down list and choose Select Link option, and select the linked architecture
model. From the context tab, locate Tools panel, click Coordination Settings
button, from Category list select Plumbing Fixtures, from Behavior set Copy
behavior = Allow batch copy, and Mapping behavior = Specify type mapping

5. You will notice that Plumbing Fixtures at the left had a new child called Type
Mapping, select it, and make the following changes:

6. Click Save & Close button

7. Click Batch Copy button, and select Copy Fixtures, the copy will take few
seconds. Click Finish to finish the command

8. Zoom to the lower toilets, and flip the work plane for the toilets and urinals

9. You will notice that the kitchen sink is not located in the right place

10. If you go to the South – HVAC elevation view, you will notice, that sinks are
not in the right height from the level (these are the shortcomings of replacing a
family in place of another family)

11. Save and close the file
