2. Applications

The ejector tool enables quick and reliable ejection of laser cut
parts and scrap in Microjoint technique. This involves placing the
ejector punch on the microjoint, cutting the part off in one single
stroke and ejecting it with the die. The maximum part size that can
be ejected is limited by the die size (square 50.1 mm and round
70.1 mm).

Material thickness 0.5 – 4 mm

Microjoint width Min. 1 mm


The parts must have been cut free except for the Microjoint itself.

Loading information The three punch inserts that are not required must be removed

3. Tool data on the control

Tool length The tool length must be entered in the tool data of the control. It is
measured from the top of the alignment ring to the underside of the
punch.
A length of 34.3 is valid for this tool.

Active die (Option) Die height


At the machine, the die height must be entered in the tool data of
the control. The die height is measured from the underside of the
die plate to the highest point of the die.

The value 30 is valid for the die height.

Stroke types
The following stroke types can be selected for optimum use of the
tool:
 Punch without support position.
TruPunch 5000: The displayed value for the stroke type is 1.

Necessary options
Some tools can only be used with a special machine option e.g.
"Active die".
For this tool, the applicable value is 0 = none.

Tool type 9 The ejector tool is handled by TruTops as a special tool with tool
type 9 and is supported starting with the following versions.
