STATEMENT ON DOING FACEBOOK LIVE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE PUNONG BARANGAY

It is with our joy that we were able to conduct our Barangay Assembly for 1 st Semester of CY
2024. In line with the deliverables and discussions made during the Preparatory Session for the said
activity, there is no motion raised on doing facebook live in the whole duration of the activity. In as much
as we want to execute such act, the Barangay has limited access to internet. The nature of Assesmbly
itself is for public, but in the pursuit of making it available to public, it could be one of the means to
which can be applied.

In as much as we want to take this lightly, we also wanted to consider this as an act of disrespect
and of no accountability to ones’ action. This focuses on the following points for explanation:

 Informal live on facebook the said activity as it only captures the back portion of the
Punong Barangay
 No permit was granted to execute such act, not authorized facebook live
 Backgrounds noises murmuring from the table of SK Officials
 Unsolicited and disrespectful act of deciding to go live
 No consent both from the public and the administration
 Informal and of no live caption

As public servant, we always assure that we are always taking accountability on our every action.
Also, as public figure it is our responsibility to assure that our action is respectable. As SK you are part of
the council, there is no way of making decisions on our own, especially, when the concern is us the
Council as a whole.
