NARRATION
Narration - one writing development pattern. Essentially, it's the ability to narrate an event or
experience in chronological order using transitional devices.
Foil - it’s type of characters who contrasts with another character – usually main character- to highlight
their qualities.
Round - type of characters that is deep and layered character.
Antagonist - type of characters who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something.
Static - type of character who doesn’t undergo any significant change in a story.
Protagonist - its’ the leading character or one of the major characters in a drama, movie, novel, of
other fictional text
Setting - it provides the setting and chronology for a story; therefore, it acts as backdrop.
Antihero - central character in a play, book or movie who doesn’t have traditionally heroic qualities.
BRAINSTORMING
Brainstorming - it's a method for coming up with ideas in both group and individual settings.
Brainstorming is a method of listing all the ideas you know about a particular concept or topic.
Brainstorming helps us to gather all the knowledge we know about the specific topic and come out
with a great output.
Concept map - it's a brainstorming tool that begins with a list of general concepts and continues by
identifying more specific, related subjects. Concept map it’s a brainstorming tool that begins by writing
the main concept at the middle of and then adding more branches for sub-topics.
OUTLINING
Outlining a written plan that serves as a skeleton for the paragraphs you write.
Outlining is the process of laying out the main ideas, key concepts, supporting details, and evidence to
be included in the paper.
Topic outline - type of outlines that uses words and phrases Shorter and easier to make.
Sentence outline - type of outlining that Uses full sentences.
Alpha numeric outline - an outline that is commonly used due to convenience and easy recognition of
sections.
In the alphanumeric outline after the Title is Thesis Statement.
