1. Artificial Intelligence

When a machine possesses the ability to mimic human traits, i.e., make decisions, predict
the future, learn and improve on its own, it is said to have artificial intelligence.

A machine is artificially intelligent when it can accomplish tasks by itself -collect data,
understand it, analyse it, learn from it, and improve it.

2. An automatic toy car is not AI

A machine is artificially intelligent when it can accomplish tasks by itself -collect data,
understand it, analyse it, learn from it, and improve it. But a toy car operates only on
sensors and do not collect new data and hence cannot analyse new situations and
modify decisions according to them.

3. How can AI Bias Occur?

4. Impact of AI on human employment

1. AI will have an impact on the lives of people who are dependent on laborious jobs
and are not skilled to do anything else.
2. AI will also replace workers across a wide range of industries.The companies
can use their surplus human resources in much better higher value tasks.

5. Learning opportunities for AI can be extended to all

The gap between the people accessing AI and people unable to access AI is huge. To
bridge this gap
 cost effective AI models and infrastructure needs to be set up by the
appropriate agencies
 Awareness shall be spread about the benefits of AI in every sphere.

a. Banking-
a. To provide customer support(Eg Chatbot EVA by HDFC Bank
b. prevent financial frauds(Use of OTP, tracing card usage and place of access)
c. detect fraudulent transaction patterns and prevent card fraud.
b . Agriculture-
a. AI can help farmers to get more from the land by using resources in an
optimum manner.
b. AI uses CV(object detection) to monitor and precisely spray weedicide on
plants.
c. AI can identify potential defects and nutrient deficiencies in the soil through
images.

c. Healthcare-
a. AI MODELS can predict the possibility of diseases
b. timely prevention or intervention can be very helpful.(IBM WATSON)
c. Clinical decision support systems for stroke prevention have been
developed that can give the physician a warning when there’s a patient
at risk of having heart stroke.
d. Gaming - In AI enabled games, actions taken by opponent AI are
unpredictable as the opponent is trained throughout the game by learning from
mistakes made earlier which makes the game challenging and interesting
e. Space Exploration
Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning is used in space expeditions &
discoveries for analysing vast amounts of data.
After research astronomers used Artificial Intelligence to filter through
years of data obtained by the Kepler Telescope in order to identify a
distant eight planet solar system
Aegis AI based Mars robot Independently targets cameras on mars to
perform investigations.
