1.

What are technology and innovations that can be used by nurses to help their work in the
hospital?
The use of advanced technology can be useful to help nurses' work, especially in Intensive
Care Unit (ICU). The use of intelligent robots can be used to assist intensive monitoring of
patients, and can assist in decision making for nurses to take care of patients.

2. Mention 2 or 3 benefits and disbenefits of technology and innovation in healtcare for

nurses. Give explanation.
The use of intelligent robot technology in intensive care rooms has several advantages, the
first is that robot technology can help nurses' work, because the work of nurses in intensive
care rooms requires more energy, precision and high attention because the patient's health
condition can change at any time. The robot can help to transfer patient equipment or
medicines. Second, intelligent robot technology can work according to the program it has so
that the possibility of errors occurring in the actions taken is smaller. The robot can be
programmed to calculate the dose of medication given to the patient so that it can reduce
errors in administering medication doses to patients. Third, intelligent robot technology can
be used to monitor the patient's condition, so that monitoring of the patient's condition will
be more intensive and very helpful in treatment.
Although the use of intelligent robots has several positive things to help nurses'
performance, the use of intelligent robots has several negative things. First, nurses' caring for
patients decreases. If robots are used to perform actions on patients, it could be that nurses'
caring for patients will decrease, because the fewer nurses perform actions on patients, the
less nurses will interact with patients. Second, it causes anxiety in patients. The use of
robotic technology for patient procedures can cause patients to become anxious. Patients
who are conscious in the room will be uncomfortable when accompanied or carried out by
robots. Third, the operation of robot technology is an obstacle. The use of sophisticated
equipment also requires expertise in the proper operation of intelligent robots so that
intelligent robots can carry out tasks correctly. If the nurse does not know how to operate an
intelligent robot, when they need to take immediate action but are hampered by the robot's
operation, it will take a long time and become a problem.

3. With advanced technology and innovation, current nurses jobs can be replaced by robots.
What do you think about this statement? Give your opinion and give a justification for your
answer.
The use of robot technology cannot take over the duties and obligations of nurses because
the function of robot technology is limited to helping nurses, not to replace or take over
nurses' duties. In terms of psychology, patients experience more anxiety if a patient is given
treatment by a robot without a nurse at all.
