Fruits: Rainy season fruits like peaches, Jamun, pears, plum, cherries, lychee and
pomegranates should be included in the diet. Monsoon season fruits contain more amounts
of nutrients like vitamin A, C, fibre and other antioxidants.
2. Vegetables: Monsoon vegetables like bitter gourd, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, pointed gourd,
Indian squash are the ones that have to be added in plenty to the daily diet during rainy
weather.
3. Fluids: Consume lots of water in a warm form and also freshly prepared soups and broths.
These help to rehydrate the body and is very important for the immune system. Soup is a
must-have food we eat in rainy season because it is easily digestible.
4. Spices: Turmeric and ginger are well-renowned antiseptics, anti-inflammatory and immune-
boosting ingredients that have to be added to the recipes. These target the weather and
keeps the body hale and healthy.
