CHAPTER I

The Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence in Accomplishing Academic Work of


Grade 10 Learners at Camp Crame High School

INTRODUCTION

In this generation where modern technology already exists, human’s tasks became

uncomplicated because of the utilization of Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence

(AI) refers to a computer system that is capable of performing complicated tasks that only

a human could do, such as solving problems, making decision, and reasoning. The

conception of artificial intelligence (AI) dates back to 1950s founded by John McCarthy,

an American computer scientist. Scientist and engineers begin designing computers that

are capable of “thinking” like humans. Since then, AI has evolved remarkably and has

been developed into a powerful tool for ones’ advantage.

Most students, nowadays, are using AI to enhance their learning experience. By

utilizing AI, they can improve their knowledge and understanding and eliminate language

barriers. They will also be provided with assistance and access to all types of educational

content that they need. AI is a powerful tool, but it’s also essential to use responsibly and

ethically. Let the students and also all of us to continue to learn and adapt to all of the

changes that we experience throughout the following executive years. AI is a powerful

tool, but it also have a disadvantages. The data that AI draws from many have errors, be

outdated, or generate misinformation. Neither students nor teacher should assume that

information provided by AI is accurate. Cheating. Students nowadays can use ChatGPT

and other chatbot driven by AI to write entire essay, answer quiz question, or do their

homework. Furthermore, if students interact more on a software programs more than with

a teacher, they can begin to feel disconnected and isolated. But beside those

disadvantages there are still advantages to all students in terms of using AI. Personalized

learning, AI has the capability to tailor educational content to the individual needs of

each student. By analyzing student performance, AI algorithms can adapt learning

materials, pace and difficulty levels, ensuring that students receive a customized learning

experience. AI can also help make lessons more accessible, such as with live captions on

videos or streams. Enhanced efficiency, Administrative tasks, grading and data analysis

can be automated with AI, freeing educators from time-consuming duties. This efficiency

allows teachers to allocate more time to interactive teaching, feedback and mentorship.

For some teachers, this can mean more time for them after school to focus on their own

lives or other tasks. Access to vast resources, AI-driven platforms can provide students

with access to a wealth of educational content and resources, from interactive simulations

to online libraries. This expanded resource pool enriches the learning experience and

promotes self-directed learning. Immediate feedback, AI can provide students with

instantaneous and detailed feedback on their performance, allowing them to understand

their strengths and weaknesses. This timely feedback enhances comprehension and

learning outcomes.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study aims to determine the Impact of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)

to the Grade – 10 students at Camp Crame Highschool.

The problem with using artificial intelligence today is that most people abuse it

and they don’t use it in the right way. Similar to how teachers give homework to young

people, they answer it easily even if they don't study it, they can answer it by using a

phone or laptop and go to websites or apps that can get answers . Most students at Camp

Crame high school do the same. Because of this, the students expect and think they need

to study the lessons given by the teacher because they can answer them by using the

method that connects to artificial intelligence.

OBJECTIVE

Objective of the study of grade 10 at camp crame high school

Assess the impact of AI-powered tools and technologies on the academic performance

ofGrade 10 students at Camp Crame Highschool.

Evaluate the level of technological literacy and proficiency among the students as

theyengage with AI-driven learning experiences.

Examine the influence of AI on the development of critical thinking, problem-solving,

anddecision-making skills in the students.

Provide data-driven recommendations for the effective integration of AI in the

school’scurriculum and learning environment.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The study explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on Grade 10 students at Camp

Crame High School. AI helps most students these days, helping them with their home

work and other things like solving problems that they don’t know and gaining more

confidence in their answers, its efficacy in enhancing learning outcomes, and any

difference in access to AI tools. It also explores social reflection and aims to inform

educators and policymakers about responsible AI use.

The students – the positive impact of artificial intelligence (AI)to grade 10 students

it makes things easier for them/us and by the power of Al learning app students can

learn different languages at their own place.

The teacher - the positive impact is that it allows teachers to focus more oh

teaching students rather than grading/scoring tests.

The future researchers – artificial intelligence (AI) can make their work easy at the

same time not much stressful AI can make their work more reliable and can help

them with things that they don’t know yet.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

This study aimed to identify the advantages of using artificial intelligence in

education from the perspective of the students of Camp Crame Highschool.

One of the most prominent advantages of AI is its ability to automate tasks,

significantly improving efficiency and productivity across various sectors.

A total of 133 students at Camp Crame Highschool using artificial intelligences

from four(4) section will be given a survey form about their view point using (AI).

Understanding and performing intelligent tasks such as reasoning, learning new

skills, and adopting to new situations and problems.
