Revised K to 10 curriculum to be launched in August --- DepEd (BY MERLINA

HERNANDO-MALIPOT)

For me, the revised K-10 curriculum is not an easy transition for students and teachers used to
the previous K-12 curriculum. Despite its good intentions for students and future generations,
adjusting to it is challenging and comes with disadvantages.

Firstly, the K-12 curriculum was a big help for students preparing for college, especially in doing
research or a thesis. It provided valuable experience during high school, giving them some
knowledge and steps on how to do it well.

With the re-implementation of the K-10 curriculum, the years spent in school may be reduced,
but students may not have enough knowledge to prepare for college. The K-12 curriculum has
been a significant help for Filipino students aspiring to go to college because it gives them
sufficient or some idea about the subjects they will face in college.

Despite the laws in our country, as normal citizens in the Philippines, we can only follow and
focus on improving our education. As regular citizens and students, the best thing we can do or
contribute to our country is to study well for our future progress and the progress of our nation.
