Theme: Word of Self, Family and Friends Topic : MODULE 2 : EVERY DAY

Content Standard: 2.1-Communicate simple information 1.2 – Understand meaning in a variety of
intelligibly familiar contexts
Learning standard: 2.1.2 Find out about very basic personal 1.2.5 Understand short supported
information using questions
By the end of the lesson most pupils will be able to: pupils will be able to speak about their
ambition with at least 3 lines correctly.
Objectives
By the end of the lesson most pupils will be able to: pupils will be able to listen and record in the
table with at least 4 correct answers.
Pupils play ‘hot seat’ as a whole class but the winner is decided based on group points.

Pre Lesson
. Pupils recap a few occupations and their duties.
2. Pupils refer to textbook page 20 and copy the table in their exercise book.
3. Pupils listen to the audio 32 and fill in the table correctly.
4. Pupils play the ‘Let’s Match’ game in their groups.
Lesson Development 5. Pupils are briefed about the game. All the cards are placed facing downwards. Pupils must take turns to flip
the first card and the second card. If the two cards are a picture of an occupation and the duties, then the pupil
can keep the cards. If the cards are not matching, they must flip the cards downwards and wait for their next
turn to flip.

Post Lesson Pupils give feedback based on their friends’ work

least 4 sentences correctly.
Objectives
By the end of the lesson most pupils will be able to: , pupils will be able to use capital letters and
full stops in at least 4 sentences correctly.
Pupils are introduced to a few pictures in a circle map. Pupils are divided into 3 groups where they
line up facing the board. Each person must run the board and write a word based on the picture.
Pre Lesson
1. Pupils in their groups are given a picture from the board. Individually, they must come up with a
sentence.
Example: I always brush my teeth.
Lesson Development 2. One pupil from each group is called out to write their sentence on the board.
3. Pupils are shown how to change a sentence to He/She and adding the third person -s. Other
pupils are called to change other sentences.
4. Pupils complete page 9 in Year 3 Complementary worksheet Module individually.

Post Lesson Pupils write their learning diaries for the week.
