purpose for the lesson
The class will be divided into 4 groups to play a game
C. Presenting entitled “TELLUSTRATION” this is a type of a charade
Examples / instances of game where students from each group will identify
new lesson the hidden word based on illustrated or drawn image.
It consist of 4 characters: an illustrator, a guesser,
the whisperers, and a writer. The illustrator will draw
a picture behind the guesser, then the guesser will
read the picture to determine the word it illustrated
and then share it with one of the whisperers who will
share it with another whisperer until the word
reaches the writer. The writer then writes the word on
a game board and bows a whistle to signal that the
group is done. The first group with a correct answer
ENGAGE will be rewarded. They only have 5 minutes to
accomplish the game.

The Teacher will ask questions based on the

activity before presenting the lessons.

1. What are the words you have gathered from

the activity?
2. Have you encountered any difficulties in
identifying those words. Share your
experience.
3. What are the words all about? How it will
connect to electricity?
4. Since these are all about electric power
sources, how do most power plants produce
electricity.

Objectives:

 Identify some energy resources and devices for

the generation of electricity.
 Trace the energy transformation in electrical
power plants.

Materials:

 Paper and Pen

 Cut out letters

Procedure:

 Arrange the scrambled letters to get the correct

Complete the statements by filling the blanks with

the right words.

1. ___________ is a power station and an industrial

facility for the generation of electricity.

2. ___________ is a device used to convert mechanical

energy to electrical energy.

3. ___________ is a device used to raise or lower the

voltage and current of two-linked alternating current
circuits.

4. ___________ is a device with fanlike blade that turn

when pushed, for example, by water or steam.

5. Before electricity reaches your home, it is

generated by using energy resources such as
___(5a)____, ___(5a)____, ___(5a)____, and ___(5a)____,
The sources turns turbine which is connected to a
generator to produce electricity. Thus, the energy
transformation in electrical power plant is __ (5b) ____
to ___ (5c) ____.

consumers.

Materials:

 Paper and pen

 Cut-out pictures
 Answer sheet

Procedure:

 Trace the path of electricity to determine how

electrical energy reaches consumers.
 Put a number sequence on the space provided
to connect and show the correct electrical
path.
 Answer the guide questions below.

Guide Questions:

1. What are the three series of processes before

electrical energy reaches the consumers?
2. Differentiate step up transformer from step
down transformer.
3. How many step down transformers are in the
process? What is the reason why these
transformers are along distribution lines before
electricity reaches your home’s circuit?
