At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a. Recall the different non-communicable diseases;
b. Determine the common causes and risk factors of NCDs.
c. Appraise the importance of having a healthy lifestyle.

 FACT OR MYTH (5mins.)
Flash common statements about NCDs and have the student identify if is it a FACT or a
MYTH.

 Only women can get breast cancer.


 NCDs can only affect old people 60 years old and above.
 NCDs are diseases of the rich.
 Eating sugar everyday can cause diabetes.
 Smoking can cause heart and lung diseases as well as cancer.
 Prevention of NCDs is expensive.
