COUNTER-AFFIDAVIT

I, Zayn Acero, of legal age, Filipino, single, and presently residing at

Peñaflor St., Brgy Taloto, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines, after having been
sworn in accordance with law do hereby state the following:

1. I am respondent in Criminal Complaint IS No. 231547 for the crime of Qualified

Theft under Article 310 of the Revised Penal Code.

2. I am executing this Counter-Affidavit as a reply and comment to the complaint

affidavit of plaintiff in connection with the missing jewelry box.

3. That I am employed by Mr. Clark Emat as his house painter.

4. Prior to that incident, Lex Cagadas and I decided to purchase jewelry as a gift
for ourselves in recognition of our hard work, as well as as investments.

5. That on February 9, 2024, Lex Cagadas and I rush home, boldly wearing the
jewels we’ve earned through our sweat and hard work.

6. On the same day that we leave Mr. Clark Emat’s house, we notice a woman
grabbing our attention next door, but we don’t stop since we don’t know her, and
we’re also thrilled to show off our new jewelry to our friends.

7. That I am executing this counter affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing
statement and to support for the dismissal of the case files against me.
