PHRASEOLOGIES FOR CONTROL OF VFR DEPARTURES

Step 1: When the aircraft executing VFR flight request taxi, the aerodrome controller-on-duty issues taxi
clearance and weather information.
PHRASEOLOGIES:
PILOT: TSN Tower, HVN 123
TWR: HVN 123, TSN Tower
PILOT: HVN 123, AN2, stand 11, VFR to CanTho, request taxi.
TWR: HVN 123 taxi via taxiways NS and E6 to holding point runway 25L. Wind 210 degrees, 5 knots, QNH 1013, time
21.
PILOT: NS and E6 to holding point runway 25L, QNH 1013, VN 123.

Step 2: When the aircraft approaching the holding point of the runway-in-use, the Pilot will report his readiness
for depature. Depending on the traffic situation, the controller can issue the take-off clearance to the aircraft, or
advice the aircraft to wait at the holding point.
PILOT: TSN Tower, HVN 123 (approaching) holding point runway 25L, ready for departure
TWR: HVN 123, runway 25L, wind 210 degrees, 5 knots, cleared for take-off

Step 2: Clearing the aircraft to push back.

Step 8: When the aircraft approaching the holding point of the runway-in-use, the Pilot will inform his readiness
for departure. Take-off clearance may be issued to the aircraft at this position if the traffic situation permit, or the
aircraft may be advised to wait at the holding point.
