Instruction for Continuation of Non-NET Fellowship for Full-Time Ph.D.

Students under Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
(SVMCMS) Scheme of Govt. of W. B.

1. The Full-Time Ph.D Students who have already received the previous installment
of the SVMCM Non-NET fellowship may apply for continuation provided that the
maximum tenure of the SVMCM Scholarship is 4 (four) years for Ph.D. course.
2. The students are to submit the filled-in forms as under:
(a) Certificate of Claiming Scholarship
(b) Continuation Certificate
(c) Progress Report
(d) Utilization Certificate
(e) Self Declaration and Undertaking (All items are mandatory)
3. No forms will be received/ examined after the last date.
4. Incomplete applications will not be processed for sending to WBMDFC.

Before Application for Continuation of the SVMCM Scholarship, carefully check the
following points as per Ref. G.O. Nos. 52-Edn(B)/5B-15/2017 Date- 07/06/2017 & 65-
Edn(B)/SB-15/2017 Date 11.07.2017,

a) The scholar must be a Full-Time (Non-NET/NET-LS/SET) PhD student of Aliah

University.
b) The scholar is not involved in any employment.
c) He/She is not enrolled in any other University/Institute for the same course (PhD)
at the same time.
d) He/She is not availing Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means (SVMCM) Scholarship
from any other University/ Institute.
e) He/She is not receiving any other Scholarship simultaneously from any other
sources (Central or the State Governments or their agencies/ bodies) for pursuing
PhD course.

 f) He/She is aware that the maximum tenure of the SVMCM Scholarship is 4 (four)
years for Ph.D. course or till the date of submission of the Dissertation/Thesis,
whichever is earlier.
g) He/She is not claiming the SVMCM Scholarship for more than 4 (four) years for
the PhD course.
h) He/She is not involved in a criminal case or not has been punished under disciplinary.
i) He/She will submit his/her dissertation/Thesis along with relevant published
papers at the end of the fellowship at Aliah University.
