1. Establishing a Purpose Introduction (10 minutes):
for the Lesson Begin by discussing the importance of selecting relevant literature for various purposes,
such as research, personal interest, or school projects. Emphasize how choosing the
right literature helps in gaining accurate information, enhancing understanding, and
engaging with content meaningfully.
State the lesson objective: "Today, we will learn how to select relevant literature by
understanding and applying criteria for determining its suitability for our needs."
2. Presenting Examples (15 minutes):
Examples/Instances of Example 1: Selecting a book for a school report. Show a sample book list and discuss
the Lesson which books are more relevant based on the topic of the report (e.g., historical accuracy,
author expertise).
Example 2: Choosing a novel for leisure reading. Discuss how genre, author reputation,
and reviews influence relevance.
Example 3: Finding articles for a research project. Demonstrate how to use databases or
libraries to find articles that are relevant to the research question or topic.

Use sample book lists, article abstracts, and review summaries. Show screenshots or
printouts from library catalogs or online databases.
