Lesson Plan 2: Body Parts Vocabulary with Movement
**Objective**: Students will learn body parts vocabulary (head, shoulders, knees, toes,
eyes, ears, mouth, nose) through interactive activities.
**Materials**:
- Picture cards of body parts
- Music (optional)
**Warm-Up (5 minutes)**:
- Sing "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" with the children, doing the actions with
them.
**Activity 1: Touch and Say (10 minutes)**:
1. Show students the picture cards of body parts and teach them how to say each word.
2. Have students repeat the words after you and touch the corresponding part of their
body as they say it.
3. Play a quick round of **"Simon Says"** using body parts (e.g., “Simon says, touch
your nose”).
**Activity 2: Body Part Treasure Hunt (15 minutes)**:
1. Hide picture cards of body parts around the room.
2. Give verbal clues (e.g., “Find the card that shows the knees”) and have students move
around to locate the correct card.
3. When they find the card, they should bring it back to the group and say the word
aloud while touching the corresponding body part.
**Cool-Down (5 minutes)**:
- Stand in a circle, and one student names a body part while the others touch it and say
it together.
**Assessment**:
- As students touch the body parts and say their names during the treasure hunt and
cool-down, observe their accuracy and pronunciation.
