Friday is culture day! All international students at OUC&AUC are welcome to take part in these activities. All costs involved will be covered by International Office, except for public transport. Invitations are sent out per e-mail with more information at the beginning of each week. Sign up is mandatory (except for information meetings). This program is subject to change.

We will kick off the semester with an excursion to Norwegian nature and enjoy two Norwegian hobbies: walking in the nature and berry picking. Experience the most thrilling adventures in polar history! Just a short and beautiful boat ride away. This museum tells the breathtaking stories of some of the most extraordinary achievements in polar history. Second information meeting for EU-/Non-EU-students (only if you were not able to attend the first meeting) in room Athene 1, Pilestredet 46, 13:30. Coffee and Norwegian boller will be served. What you should know about Norwegians - An entertaining lecture on Norwegians cultural characteristics plus an introduction to what you should be aware of as a student on campus. At 13:00, Athene 1, P46 A fun way to get to know the city! You will be divided into teams and be given different fun tasks. Prizes for the winners! Drbak is an enchanting town of significant cultural value and a popular seaside tourist spot just one hour outside of Oslo. Come and enjoy a bit of 100 year old architecture and history. A creepy and exciting walk through the streets of old Christiania and Akershus fortress. This will be an evening you will never forget! Holmenkollen is one of the world`s most famous sports arenas and Norways most visited tourist attraction. Experience the world`s first design-Ski Jump with a spectacular view of Oslo from the top. The Autumn exhibition is Norways biggest, oldest and most visited exhibition of contemporary art. For 123 years it has been an important scene for discussion and enjoyment. What will you think? NRK is Norway`s largest media house and 100% government owned. Come and see how radio and TV is made, and maybe a Norwegian celebrity or two? Akerselva is the citys most intense and dramatic river. A history walk will take us from its role in medieval times to the industrial revolution. Want to learn how to make a Norwegian traditional dish? Bring your apron, notebook and a smile. This will be something to bring home to impress your mother. They say that every bit of Freia is a little piece of Norway. Norways most famous chocolate factory is yours to explore. Dance is an important part of every culture. Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a fun evening. The most practical and fun museum in Oslo! This interactive, amusing and interesting museum is something to see and try. The building is situated in the Bjrvika neighborhood of central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. A guided tour will give us a chance to learn more about the award-winning architecture and catch a glimpse backstage. Outdoor skating at Frogner stadion. Put on your warm clothes, it`s time to try out one of Norwegians favorite winter hobbies. Lets sled down a steep hill! We will rent a sled, and take the 20-minutelong downhill course from Frognerseteren right outside Oslo.
