HAVE YOU LOST FUEL MILEAGE? DO YOUR BRAKES
PULSATE? DOES YOUR CAR PULL TO ONE SIDE?
WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXTEND YOUR BRAKE LIFE?
If you live in the Northeast you are very susceptible to your BRAKE
PADS or CALIPER SLIDES freezing, binding, or sticking. This is
due to moisture, dirt, sand, and de-icing chemicals used on our
roads. Your BRAKE PADS and CALIPER SLIDES will get corroded
and-or have a dirt buildup that causes them to bind. When they
bind, the pads cannot release properly, resulting in brake drag. It
feels as though you are slightly holding your foot on the brake
pedal all of the time. The end result is drop in fuel mileage, pre-
mature brake wear out, and warped brake rotors. The cure for this
is a preventive maintenance called a BRAKE CALIPER/KNUCKLE
SERVICE. This service should be done at least once a year to pre-
vent these issues from happening. Once the issue occurs it is too
late. Call today and prevent expensive problems in the future.

THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF MOOSE
You werent the only one who noticed.
In a weekend of unlikely winners, James Buescher took
the checkered ag under caution in Saturdays Drive4COPD
300 Nationwide Series race with wreckage from the cars of
the likely winners strewn behind him in Turn 4 at Daytona In-
ternational Speedway. Buescher, a rst-time winner in the se-
ries, took advantage of a last-lap wreck involving front-runners
Trevor Bayne, Tony Stewart, Elliott Sadler, Joey Logano, Kurt
Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch to score the vic-
tory, one day after rookie John King won his rst NASCAR
Camping World Truck Series race in his rst trip to Daytona.
Brad Keselowski dodged the melee to nish second with Elliott
Sadler following in third. Rookies Cole Whitt and 2011 Camp-
ing World Truck Series champion, Austin Dillon ran fourth and
fth, respectively. It was simply being in the right place at the
right time as Buescher survived damage from a late race crash
to secure his second trip to Daytonas famed Victory Lane,
the rst coming earlier in his career in an ARCA race. I got
caught up in one of those late-race wrecks, but its not over
-- were still in it, Buescher said of his attitude approaching a
restart with two laps left in the 120-lap race. There wasnt a lot
of damage on the car. Compounding Bueschers problem was
the loss of his most effective drafting partners -- Justin Allgaier
and Joe Nemechek -- in earlier crashes. We lost all of our track
position, Buescher said. I had to get back through there using
everybody elses draft, but (with) no drafting partner . . .
Its incredible. This is top of the list for any racecar driver to
win at -- and we did it today.
It was Rookie Night at Daytona International speedway on
Friday night when John King, with only two career wins on
his resume- coming on rural short tracks in Virginia, making
only his eighth Camping World Truck Series start and rst on
a Superspeedway shocked the racing world with a win in the
NextEra Energy Resources 250. The improbable victory came
in the series biggest event of the season which took three stabs
at a green-white-checkered overtime nish. King was leading
the third overtime when Joey Coulters Chevrolet ew into the
retaining fence on the frontstretch after James Bueschers truck
turned sideways from contact with the ride of Ron Hornaday
Jr. The resulting caution froze the eld and made a winner of
King, who still seemed amazed at his accomplishment when
talking to reporters after the race. This is feature win No 3 for
me.in my whole career, King exclaimed. Its unbelievable.
I couldnt imagine being here, and were here. Timothy Pe-
ters, Kings Red Horse Racing teammate came across the line
second, followed by Justin Lofton in third and Travis Kvapil
and Jason White in fourth and fth, respectively. Ward Burton
nished eighth in his rst start in any of NASCARs top three
series since 2007.
Tony Stewart and Matt Kenseth captured Thursdays Ga-
torade Duals at Daytona International Speedway. The once
famous qualifying events have pretty much lost most of their
intrigue and appeal as the Duals are basically only run to set
the eld for the 35 guaranteed starters in the Daytona 500. NA-
SCAR needs to change the name from qualifying to eld set-
ting day. Hate it, what happened to showing up and having to
work to get in the show?
Former Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH owner, Mike
Beattie, has lost his lifetime battle with cancer. Well known for
his checkered ag jacket the owner of Riverside until 1986 will
be sorely missed. The 2011 Riverside Hall of Fame inductee
had recently enjoyed the success of his grandson Ben Belanger
in Riversides Street Stock division. Our thoughts and prayers
are with the Beattie Family in this time of their loss. Godspeed
Mike.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway ofcials announced last
week that Bond Auto Parts, a New England based full service
auto parts retail and wholesale store, will be the title sponsor for
the ACT Invitational during the fall NASCAR weekend. The
Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational will be part of The Magic
Miles short track Saturday Showdown during the SYLVANIA
300 weekend. The thrilling day features, NASCARs K&N Pro
Series East New Hampshire 100 and the NASCAR Whelen
Modied Tour F.W. Webb 100. Last year, it was Rowley, Mass.
native Eddie MacDonald who raced his way from 25th to rst
in just a few laps, capturing the checkered ag.
This running of the Daytona 500, the Great American Race,
was the rst time since 1972 that a Waltrip wasnt in the eld.
Michael failed to qualify for this years race, crashing out of
Thursday qualifying race in a single car wreck.
In his 28th Daytona 500 and 25th consecutive Great Ameri-
can Race, Mark Martin was back in his quest to win his rst
Daytona 500. Turning 53 on January 9, Martin would not have
only broke NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allisons record
as the oldest driver to win the 500, but would have become
the oldest winner in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history. The
current oldest winner is Harry Gant at 52 years, seven months
and six days. Its the fth anniversary of his loss at the line to
Kevin Harvick as Martin begins a new chapter in his career
with Michael Waltrip Racing. A win for Martin would have
broke Dale Earnhardts record of 20 races before his rst win
in the Daytona 500.

ments for the 2013 Shootout at Daytona, an announcement that signals a return to the
fan-favorite preseason events roots. Next seasons eld will consist of 2012 Coors
Light Pole winners and past Shootout winners who have attempted to qualify for at
least one race during the 2012 season. Eligibility rules for next seasons annual non-
points race mirror those from 1979-2008, and puts greater emphasis on each week-
ends NASCAR Sprint Cup series Coors Light Pole qualifying session.
Devils Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT has been awarded a grant for capital
improvements and facility upgrades worth $10,000 from NASCAR. The prize was
awarded on Saturday, February 18 during a conference at Daytona International
Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL. Under its new ownership for 2012, the asphalt half-
mile Devils Bowl track will see installation of a new concrete retaining wall and
paving of the pit garage area access roads. The NASCAR funds are part of a total
$100,000 grant divided among ten weekly local speedways in the NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series program. Devils Bowl Speedway opens its 46th season of stock
car racing on Sunday, May 6, with the Spring Green 112 for the American-Canadian
Tour Late Models, along with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modieds,
Renegades, and Bombers. Other special events throughout the year include the Ver-
mont State Late Model Championship 100 on Friday, June 8, the Firecracker Twin
44s and reworks display on Wednesday, July 4, and the Vermont 200 season nale
weekend on September 15-16.
What Theyre Saying
Man, it was a fun race. I thought a lot about how the pack was back. Theres
certainly some moments when we were all pushing each other. Its a tense pack. Its
not like 2000 to 2005 pack where you couldnt really bump each other, you couldnt
really get to each other, you were racing around and made holes whenever you could
make holes, whatever. It was intense, guys pushing all the time, them pushing on you,
pushing ve rows deep, everybody squirrelly, the back end of the cars being real light.
It was a great race from my seat; hopefully it was from everybody elses: Kyle Busch
on winning the 2012 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona.
