Brad Keselowski led 138 of 305 laps, including the last, to
become the first driver in New Hampshire Motor Speedway his-
tory to sweep both weekend races. Keselowskis win, his first ever
victory in the Sprint Cup Series at the Magic Mile, also extend-
ed the longest active streak of different Sprint Cup winners. The
13-for-13 streak ties Texas Motor Speedway for the longest streak
in NASCAR history. Really feels like we hit our stride. Im kind
of quiet and somber because I want to soak it all in, said
Keselowski, who is now tied with Jimmie Johnson for the 2014
Sprint Cup Series wins lead with three. This was such a phenom-
enal weekend. These dont happen that often and that is what
makes it special. Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (10th) have
now clinched a spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup
Series championship, assuming they attempt to qualify for the
remaining seven races in the regular season. Pole-sitter Kyle
Busch finished second, followed by rookie Kyle Larson in third.
The third-place finish for Larson was his fourth career top-five
finish. 2013 September NHMS winner Matt Kenseth ran fourth
and three-time NHMS winner Ryan Newman rounded out the top
five. Rounding out the top-10 were Clint Bowyer, Tony Stewart,
Denny Hamlin, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Earnhardt Jr. The runner-
up finish for Busch was his third straight at New Hampshire. I
dont think anyone had anything for (Keselowski) all day, said
Busch. We had to save fuel the whole last run. Luckily, we had
just enough gas and ran out at the start-finish line. Jimmie
Johnson, a three-time winner at New Hampshire, had a tire go
down twice very early on, crashed hard into the retaining wall and
finished 42nd. Local hot-shoe Eddie MacDonald of Rowley,
Mass., made his Sprint Cup Series debut and finished 35th.
Taking a deep breath at the winners podium, Brad Keselowski
took a second to savor his dominance Saturday at New Hampshire
Motor Speedway. Keselowski captured the pole; then led 152 of
200 laps to win the NASCAR Nationwide Series Sta-Green 200.
In addition, he posted the fastest times in both NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series practice sessions in preparation for Sundays Camping
World RV Sales 301. One helluva Saturday, said Keselowski,
who recorded a perfect driver rating for the sixth time in his
Nationwide career and has finished no worse than third in any of
his six Nationwide Series starts this season. Sometimes on these
really busy days you get so caught up in the action that you really
cant appreciate all thats transpired. In addition, Keselowskis
Penske-prepared Hertz Mustang became the first Nationwide
Series car to win from the pole position in 17 races this season. He
also won the March 8 race at Las Vegas and now has 29 victories
in 211 Nationwide races. Kyle Busch, the pole-sitter for Sundays
Sprint Cup race, was Keselowskis primary competition and fin-
ished second ahead of Matt Kenseth, Kyle Larson and rookie
Chris Buescher. Series points leader Regan Smith didnt have a
top-five car but was the big bonus winner, capturing the $100,000
payoff in the first of four Dash 4 Cash races courtesy of
Nationwide Insurance. Smith finished ahead of championship-
eligible Nationwide Series drivers Ryan Reed (11th), Ryan Sieg
(18th) and Jeremy Clements (20th), each of whom qualified for
the Dash last week at Daytona International Speedway. Smith,
Buescher, Sadler and Scott emerged as qualifiers for the second of
four Dash 4 Cash races next Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway.
Smith also became the only driver eligible for a $600,000 bonus
which will translate to $1 million in total prize money should he
win the Dash 4 Cash at Chicagoland and Indianapolis Motor
Speedway (July 26), then win the Aug. 2 race at Iowa Speedway
outright. Smith retained the series points lead by eight points over
Sadler, who finished sixth and 13 over Chase Elliott, who finished
eighth.
With a career that boosts 12 wins in 85 Whelen Modified Tour
starts, Bobby Santos is no stranger to Victory Lane. The Magic
Mile Sunoco Victory Lane is another story. In 15 starts at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway, Santos had never so much as scored
a podium finish. Until Saturday, that is. The native of Franklin,
Mass., won an incredibly intense green-white-checkered finish for
his first-ever victory at New Hampshire. This is definitely my
biggest mod win in my career for sure. We have talked for years
about winning at Loudon, said Santos. This is our Super Bowl,
and these guys work so hard. For whatever happens the rest of the
season, we won at Loudon and that is pretty awesome. Santos
held off Doug Coby and Ted Christopher, who have combined for
seven wins at the 1.058-mile oval. Ryan Newman, who won the
inaugural Whelen All-Star Shootout on Friday night, was a top-
five car all race - but had to settle for fourth. Ryan Preece rounded
out the top five.
Jesse Little took advantage of a last-lap wreck between Nick
Drake and Brandon Jones to win his first career K&N Pro Series
East race in the Granite State 100 at NHMS on Friday evening. .
Eddie MacDonald chased him to the line in second. I kind of had
a thought in the back of my mind that that might happen, so I knew
that if they got together Id make a move, said Little, who had
one top-five in nine starts prior to his win. Its an amazing feeling
to finish first here at New Hampshire. Eddie MacDonald, who
made his Sprint Cup Series debut in Sundays Camping World RV
Sales 301, finished second. It was the Rowley, Mass., natives best
East finish at New Hampshire since winning three of four races
from 2008-09. The win was special in a lot of ways for Little,
whose first-career win came on his mother Donnas birthday.
That makes it even more special, said Little. I might make her
a replica trophy that she can keep.
Barres Nick Sweet won the 35th Annual Vermont Governors
Cup 150 presented by VP Small Engine Fuel in dominant fashion
at Thunder Road on Thursday night. Sweet led from green to
checkers and lapped over half the field in the process. NASCAR
star Clint Bowyer spun just after halfway in the 150-lap event and
went down a lap late in the race. He finished 14th, the first car
down one lap. Two-time King of the Road Sweet earned the
pole position with a +3 the unique Plus/Minus handicap system.
Derrick ODonnell started third on the 31 car starting field and
kept Sweet insight throughout the event but couldnt quite get to
Sweets back bumper as they worked heavy lapped traffic for the
majority of the event. It was Sweets first win of 2014 and his 12th
all-time at Thunder Road. Jason Corliss came from the 9th starting
spot to take over the final podium spot late in the event. Sweet
earns the $1,000 Bond Auto ACT Invitational bonus and qualifies
for the Bond ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
on Saturday, September 20.
Friday at Iowa Speedway, both skill and good fortune finally co-
existed for Erik Jones the 18-year-old Kyle Busch Motorsports
driver, who powered to his second career NASCAR Camping
World Truck Series triumph in the American Ethanol 200. Glad
we could get out and command the race and bring it home, said
Jones, who led 130 laps and held off a spirited charge from Brad
Keselowski Racings Ryan Blaney, who settled for second. Matt
Crafton earned third, with Joey Coulter and German Quiroga Jr.
completing the top five.

Thursday night while Jason Kenison of Groveton,
NH came from 16th in the Allen Lumber Street
Stock field to take the win in his first appearance
at Thunder Road in 2014.
Ryan Newman used a dramatic last-lap slingshot
pass of Justin Bonsignore to win Fridays inau-
gural Whelen All-Star Shootout modified race at
New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The second annual American Canadian Tour
International 300 at Airborne Speedway on
Sunday is one of the biggest events one the 2014
ACT schedule. With $25,000 plus lap money and
bonuses to the winner, the International boasts
the biggest purse for ACT Late Models in 2014.
The event features 3-segments of 50, 75, and 75
laps each, for the headlining ACT Late Models.
The event will be run Milk Bowl style with
inversions after each segment with the lowest
combined score deciding the overall winner. Last
year Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. claimed the $25,000
check in dominant fashion with segment finishes
of 1st, 1st and 2nd. The ACT Late Models will be
joined by the Airborne Sportsmen Modifieds,
Quebecs ProCam Super Trucks and the Thunder
Road Tiger Sportsmen.
Also on tap this Sunday for PASS Super Late
Models is the 41st Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford
Plains Speedway. The track expects close to 70
Super Late Models for the famed event.
