Day 1 Skill Theme: Establishing a Learning Environment Instant Activity: Simon Says Students will follow the instructions of the teacher only after the teacher says Simon Says before the command. If the students do a command when the teacher did not say Simon Says they will have to do 10 jumping jacks to get back in the game. 1. a. b. c. Day 2 Skill Theme: Space Awareness Instant Activity: Magic Remote Control The teacher will pretend to have a magic remote control. When he presses Play the students will start walking. When he presses Fast Forward the students will start jogging and when he presses Rewind the students will walk backwards. When he presses Pause the students will freeze. Day 3 Skill Theme: Effort Instant Activity: Red Light, Green Light Students will all start behind the baseline on one side of the gym. When the teacher says Green Light the students will run as fast as they can until they hear Red Light. Day 4 Skill Theme: Relationships Instant Activity: Coconuts Students will each have a hula-hoop and 3 balls inside of the hula-hoop on the floor. When the teacher says go, the students will then go to the other students hula hoops one at a time and grab one ball and bring it back to their hoop. Then they must go to a different students hula-hoop and grab one ball and bring it back to their hoop. Students must place the ball in their hoop and the one with the most balls in their hoop is the winner. 1. a. b. c. Day 11 Skill Theme: Balancing Instant Activity: Rope Pathways Each student will grab their own jump rope and lay it in a straight line in front of them. Then they will pretend that they are walking on a skinny bridge over a river of lava. They have to keep both feet on the rope and if they do not, they will have to start at the beginning. They walk back and forth on the rope counting how many times they get to one side and wait for the teacher to stop them. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 16 Skill Theme: Kicking and Punting Instant Activity: Freeze Tag while dribbling a soccer ball Each student will be given a soccer ball. Two students will be picked to be taggers. When the teacher says go the taggers will dribble the soccer ball with their feet and try to tag other students as they dribble a soccer ball with their feet as well. The students must remain in control of the ball otherwise the tag will not count or they will be frozen. If a student is frozen another student has to come tag them before they can join the game again. They will continue to play till the teacher gives the stop signal. 1. a. b. c. Day 17 Skill Theme: Kicking and Punting Instant Activity: Freeze Tag while dribbling a soccer ball Each student will be given a soccer ball. Two students will be picked to be taggers. When the teacher says go the taggers will dribble the soccer ball with their feet and try to tag other students as they dribble a soccer ball with their feet as well. The students must remain in control of the ball otherwise the tag will not count or they will be frozen. Day 18 Skill Theme: Throwing and Catching Instant Activity: Partner Bag Toss Each Student will be given one plastic bag and will be given a partner. The students will then stand about 10 feet away from their partner. When the teacher says go, the students will toss their bags in the air and run to their partners side and try to grab the bag before it touches the ground. They will do this as many times as they can in a row till the teacher says stop. 1. a. b. c. Focus On: Throwing and Catching with a partner Throwing for distance Throwing and catching off a bounce

Day 19 Skill Theme: Throwing and Catching Instant Activity: Partner Bag Toss Each Student will be given one plastic bag and will be given a partner. The students will then stand about 10 feet away from their partner. When the teacher says go, the students will toss their bags in the air and run to their partners side and try to grab the bag before it touches the ground. They will do this as many times as they can in a row till the teacher says stop. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 20 Skill Theme: Volleying Instant Activity: Keep It Up Students will be put into groups of 3 and each group will be given a volleyball. When the teacher says go the students will hit the ball in the air to their partners. They will continue to hit the ball into the air and try not to let it touch the ground. They will do this as many times as they can until the teacher says stop. 1. a. b. c. Day 21 Skill Theme: Volleying Instant Activity: Keep It Up Students will be put into groups of 3 and each group will be given a volleyball. When the teacher says go the students will hit the ball in the air to their partners. They will continue to hit the ball into the air and try not to let it touch the ground. They will do this as many times as they can until the teacher says stop. 1. 2. a. b. c. Review: Striking a ball upward with the underhand pattern and with the forearms. Day 22 Skill Theme: Dribbling Instant Activity: Freeze Tag while dribbling a basketball Each student will be given a basketball and 2 students will be chosen to be the taggers. When the teacher says go the students will start dribbling their basketball and run away from the taggers. If the students lose control of the ball or get tagged by the tagger they will be frozen and have to wait for another student to come tag them before they can join the game again. They will do this until the teacher tells them to stop. 1. a. b. c. Day 25 Skill Theme: Jumping and Landing Instant Activity: Frogger Students will start behind a given line and when the teacher says go the students will jump as far as they can. They will try to get to the other side of the gym by using the least number of jumps as they can. The person who reaches the end of the gym with the lowest number of jumps wins. Day 26 Skill Theme: Balancing Instant Activity: Rope Pathways Each student will grab their own jump rope and lay it in a straight line in front of them. When the teacher says go the students will start to balance themselves on one leg (whichever they choose). They will balance on each of their legs for 3 minutes. If they fall they are to try again. Day 31 Skill Theme: Kicking and Punting Instant Activity: Keep It Up Using Kicking Students will be put into groups of 4 and each group will be given 1 ball. When the teacher says go the student with the ball will kick it into the air to their partners. The partner receiving the ball will let it bounce and then try to kick it in the air to another partner. They will continue to do this until the teacher says stop. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 32 Skill Theme: Throwing and Catching Instant Activity: Leading/Following Activity Students will be put into groups of 4 and stand in line formation. The leader starts off with a ball and as the group begins to move forward the leader tosses the ball overhead to the person behind. This continues until the ball arrives to the last person in line, who then travels to the front of the line. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 34 Skill Theme: Volleying Instant Activity: Balloon Bop Each student will be given a balloon and spread out in the gym. When the teacher says go the students will hit the balloon into the air and keep hitting it with any part of their body to keep it from touching the ground. Day 35 Skill Theme: Volleying Instant Activity: Balloon Bop Each student will be given a balloon and spread out in the gym. When the teacher says go the students will hit the balloon into the air and keep hitting it with any part of their body to keep it from touching the ground. Day 36 Skill Theme: Dribbling Instant Activity: Partner Speed Dribble Students will be placed with a partner and be given 1 ball for the both of them. All partners will line up behind the baseline and stand behind their partner. When the teacher says go the person with the ball will dribble as fast as they can to half court and then dribble back. They will then hand the ball to their partner and the partner does the same thing. They will count how many times they hand the ball off to their partner. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 37 Skill Theme: Dribbling Instant Activity: Partner Speed Dribble Students will be placed with a partner and be given 1 ball for the both of them. All partners will line up behind the baseline and stand behind their partner. When the teacher says go the person with the ball will dribble as fast as they can to half court and then dribble back. They will then hand the ball to their partner and the partner does the same thing. They will count how many times they hand the ball off to their partner. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 38 Skill Theme: Kicking and Punting Instant Activity: Statues and Dribblers Half of the students will be spread out in the gym and stand with their feet spread apart and the other will get a soccer ball. The students that have a ball are the dribblers. When the teacher says go the students will dribble the ball and kick it through the students spread legs and quickly run around the student and regain control of the ball. After a few minutes the dribblers will switch with the statues. 1. 2. a. b. c. Day 39 Skill Theme: Kicking and Punting Instant Activity: Statues and Dribblers Half of the students will be spread out in the gym and stand with their feet spread apart and the other will get a soccer ball. The students that have a ball are the dribblers. When the teacher says go the students will dribble the ball and kick it through the students spread legs and quickly run around the student and regain control of the ball. Day 44 Skill Theme: Fitness/Wellness Concepts Instant Activity: Heart Power Two Students are chosen to be the taggers. The taggers are the unhealthy foods that the other students want to stay away from. Day 45 Skill Theme: Fitness/Wellness Concepts Instant Activity: Heart Power Two Students are chosen to be the taggers. The taggers are the unhealthy foods that the other students want to stay away from.
