Practical-1

Create a directory/folder of your name at desktop then save the word file in that folder. Rename the save file in your folder to any new name and then move (cut) them to the desktop.

1. Go to desktop-> right click-> new-> select the folder option. 2. Open the folder-> right click-> new-> select word file option.

3. Select the word file -> right click-> select rename option. 4. Select the word file -> right click-> select the cut option.

5. Go to desktop -> right click -> select the paste option.

Practical-2
Create a folder of your name on desktop and then create 5 sub folders inside your folder. 1. Go to desktop-> right click->new-> select the folder option. 2. Open the folder -> right click->new-> select the folder option 5 times.

Practical-3
Write a paragraph in MS Word and use formatting features like Bold, Italic and Underline. The font type should be Arial and font size is 12 pts. Set the page margins (bottom, top, left and right).

Insert the picture in MS Word file and adjust the brightness, contrast of the picture. 1. Open the MS Word -> Insert -> Select the picture option. 2. Right Click on the picture -> select format picture

Practical-5
Create a document in MS Word and use the Header & footer on the page. Header should contain the title name at middle. Footer should contain the page no. at left side.

Create a book index in MS Word using bullets and numbering.

Practical-7
Create a table in MS Word document, the table should contain student database like name, address, course and mobile no. change the format and border of the table.

1. Open the MS Word document-> select the insert option-> select table option.

Practical-9
Create a worksheet in MS Excel and store the database of students containing student name, roll no. , mark of three subjects and calculate the percentage of each student. 1. Open the MS Excel -> store the student database. 2. Select the range of data -> click on auto sum option for totaling the marks. 3. After applying this = (f3/500*100) formula we can calculate percentage of each student.

Practical - 13
1. Go to start -> all programs-> accessories->command prompt. 2. Make a directory by Mkdir. 3. Open the directory NOS by cd. 4. Make directories one by one named accounts, salary, letter and project by mkdir. 5. Open the directory letter and make another directory.

Practical-12
Apply the sorting on Total column in Ascending order and Conditional Formatting on those student whose total marks are between 200 and 300. Practical-15
Use the following functions in MS excel:1. DATE (YY, MM, DD) 2. SQRT (number) 3. UPPER (TEXT) 4. CONCATENATE (RMAN, ARORA) 5. LEN (TEXT)

1. Open the MS Excel ->select a cell-> write a function =date for current date.

2. Select a cell ->write =SQRT for square root of a number

Practical-11
Create a report in MS Excel for tourism department showing the number of foreign tourists visited India from different countries for the period 2005-2009. Also create a chart for database.

1. Open the MS Excel -> enter the data->select the insert option. 2. go to chart -> select the range ->ok.

Practical- 10
Create a worksheet in MS Excel, store the temperature of different cities for last 5 months and calculate the highest, lowest and average temperature of each city. 1. Open the MS Excel -> store the temperature of different cities. 2. Click on auto sum-> select minimum, maximum, average option.
