HUDAIBYIA
Dul-Qada 6. AH (628 AD)

Background

Truly did Allah fulfill the vision for His


Messenger: ye shall enter the Sacred
Mosque, if Allah wills, with minds secure,
heads shaved, hair cut short, and without
fear. For He knew what ye knew not, and He
granted, besides this, a speedy victory.
[Alfatah: 48: 27]

Main Events of Treaty of


Hudaybia

1400 Muslims set out with 70


camels of sacrifice in the way of
Allah
They had covered swords
with them for self-defense

Refusal of Makkan on the claim


that Muslims had weapons
Makkans didnt even keep their
worst enemies away from the

the holy months.

issue of permission for Umrah.
Rumor about the assassination of
Hazrat Usman.
Muhammad etook the pledge to
fight to the death for Islam.
This pledge was taken under a
tree or rizwan, and that is why it
is called the Bayt-e- Rizwan.

Allahs Good Pleasure was on the Believers


when they swore Fealty to thee under the
Tree: He knew what was in their hearts, and
He sent down Tranquility to them; and He
rewarded them with a speedy Victory.
[Alfatah: 48: 18]

Clauses of treaty
i. Muslims and Quraish wouldnt
fight for 10 years.
ii. Muhammad (Pbuh) and his
followers would not perform
pilgrimage this year.
iii.They would perform it next year,
staying for 3 days in Makkah.

themselves with whomever they
wished.
