    I think that TimeInc would be aproduct and
    good publisher for why?
    my magazine.
    TimeInc would be a good publishing company for my music magazine as they have a history in
    publishing in many different genres and expanding into specialist magazines. For example they
    started with The Field which is a newspaper and now have branched out into many different
    genres such as music and Sports with magazines like NME. These are extremely different genres
    and TimeInc is successful in selling all of these magazines which means that they are definitely
    appropriate to sell an indie music magazine; which NME can come under therefore theyre
    already experienced in the field that my magazine is under. NME is one of the most successful
    music magazine and also the first magazine to feature the charts. This is good as it suggests
    that they are willing to publish magazines with new concepts and the target audience for my
    magazine isnt on that is expected from an indie magazine. They also have a wide outreach
    which will be good for me as my magazine has quite the niche market of young females and a
    big publisher will be able to make the magazine be seen more than a smaller publishing
    company.
    TimeInc is also a publisher which changes and adapts to trends. My magazine is
    targeted at a growing audience of teenage girls who have an interesting in indie
    music. Most indie magazines are targeted towards older males therefore this will be
    good for TimeInc as they dont have any other magazines like this published and
    also good for me because my magazine would stand out compared to all the other
    ones they publish. Even though the market more my magazine is quite niche it is a
    currently growing market as more teenage girls are showing interest in music that
    isn't necessarily directed towards them. Having a magazine that is targeted towards
    them and it also being published by a well known company may further their
    interest in that type of music and also even make the genre gain a new audience.
